Interesting conversation. I could certainly "do it" with someone who was less than attractive provided he was clean and no drugs. There are various definitions of clean. I can handle sweat odors without any issues, but if the client wasn't "clean" I wouldn't proceed. I've never had that experience. I usually talk about my own prep and readiness when I talk to a potential new client. A client should always expect a provider to be clean and prepped and the same in reverse.

Well congrats for losing the weight. I would hope you would do it for your own health, confidence and fitness and for attention by others. I know that positive remarks and work can help with confidence, so I recognize the "hand in hand" approach they may take. My suggestion is to continue the work and challenge yourself to be more outdoing with others. Be friendly, be supportive and you will gain more the same. Being helpful to those who are trying to improve their heath, is of itself, very helpful. I'm confident you will gain more by giving to others. Just my thoughts.

I think it would be interesting for the original OP to define "later in life". For me I was in my late 20's when I came out. A variety of reasons, I was in college and graduate school, additional education and then had to apply myself in establishing my career. I didn't make time for my sexuality and I had made the decision I wanted to ignore it. What changed my mind? I decided I was worth exploring who I am as a person, being gay a part of it. That was interesting and fun.

It can be frustrating. They don't seem to be very reliable employees. I've found they seem to be in a world of their own and things like job responsibilities seem to be a secondary consideration. That said, there are some that are dedicated and I do find conversation with some of them enlightening. Some no.

I think it's very fair to say that as a provider, my "sexpectations" have been exceeded by reality. I rarely have letdowns and what I have learned and experienced is far greater than what I would have expected. No complaints. Sure, you can have a disappointment with a client, but use that to learn.

It was a tragedy for us in Kansas. Many heartbroken families and the Wichita community was certainly very sad. My thoughts and prayers to all those involved, those lost and their family and friends.

When I'm with a client, we do what he prefers. Most of the time there is little music or something very subtle. For me personally, music can enhance or distract from the mood at hand. The atmosphere and scene also makes a difference. Music can also help create or advance an intense session if done correctly. I would never rule it in or out!

Hiring a provider when they are sick with a cold or flu
ICTJOCK replied to ICTJOCK's topic in Questions About Hiring
Well to start, this thread isn't "stupid". Escorts want to make money and clients want to hire them. Health and illness is a potential stumbling block to both, especially at this time of year. Very basic discussion and I think timely for many. On my own background, I don't "claim" anything. I have never said what my full time career is in any post on this site. I'm a part time escort. and I do it because I choose to. My comments reflect a legal background, a business, investment and fitness background. Definitely multifaceted and that background affects about every post I comment on here. You are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but the term "stupid" seems more apt to somebody who isn't clear what they are talking about or don't have their facts.... um, yeah. -
So I am generally a very healthy person and strive to remain so, from fitness, exercise and sleep. I did get my annual flu shot when I had my regular "prep' review and HIV testing.. I think it makes sense for anybody, provider for sure to ensure they are good health...... but we are in the winter and at that time of year.... Recently picked up what is likely a severe cold virus. Sneezing, coughing and sounded worse. My approach is always to notify those clients who have booked me and let them know I'm not up to par. Most are very patient (especially my regulars) and reschedule. The last thing I ever want to do is show up for a booking and sound terrible. Fortunately I'm feeling better, but my Hawaii vacation has to be postponed. I would rather not meet someone new for a booking than create a rough first impression. Thoughts from clients on this topic. Just curious. Be safe and healthy!

I’ve actually never been on Grindr. I would likely not take it seriously as a provider, the same for Adam4Adam. RM is about the most credible forum currently for the client and provider. I think there are likely other places for the provider to get their information out, but I’d stick with RM for meaningful discussion for booking.

RM not accepting Visa anymore!? What the actual f$ck?
ICTJOCK replied to BuffaloKyle's topic in The Lounge
Not really interested in getting a Mastercard. I don't want additional credit cards, it affects your credit! The whole thing isn't very helpful for sure. I'd rather provide service for membership. -
I think the client's attitude, his sense of confidence and ability to communicate that confidence I find very attractive. I have plenty of confidence with the clients I see, but I am always attracted to a guy who knows what he wants from the booking and is smooth in letting me know his wants, desires and when he finds me satisfying and stimulating. The sex is generally awesome. Physically I try and appreciate all. It isn't a "comparison" with me and my attributes, I just appreciate what the client brings to the table.

I don’t think they were out of style to begin with. One of my many assets that clients like and appreciate!

Definitely a tragedy for all involved. With climate change, dangers like that presented are enhanced for sure. I think anyone living in the area needs to reassess the dangers. There are dangers living anywhere, earthquakes, tornadoes and more. This seems to be something that is changing and clearly an "eyes open" approach to what might happen is in order, plus the insurance challenge. So sad for all involved.

Hey Nate, it was awesome. The Turbo was a hit, got a number of compliments about the speedo and what brand it was! I'm still waiting to see YOU in your new Turbos.! I'm sure you look fantastic. Anyway, it was fun and the client said he wanted me back should he have a summer party.
-
It was great! I had a fantastic time, the weather was mild, so a speedo wasn't bad. People were friendly and I handed out my name and number quite a number of times. The client was very happy with how things turned out. I offered to lend a hand with some of the physical work. Some of those responsible for the setup didn't show. I did have several guests who asked if we could simply go upstairs for some private time, but that was not part of the arrangement. I have time with them scheduled for later.

How to Respond to Being Ghosted After Vacation?
ICTJOCK replied to FaustOust's topic in Questions About Hiring
If he appears to be distant, my recommendation is to leave the door open, but leave the ball "in his court". Move on and look for another escort. A couple of things. He may be dealing with issues you don't know about, maybe family considerations or something he hasn't shared. Don't automatically make assumptions. On the other hand, you have your life to lead and communication is key in these situations. I'd look for someone else. If he sounded positive during your time together and possibilities for the future, take it at face value, but use what has happened with others and encourage good communication before, during and after the trip. You sound like a very reasonable client. I hope all goes well in the future. -
I commented earlier in the thread and mentioned I appreciate getting tipped. I received several "larger" tips during the holiday season from primarily regular clients. I'm always appreciative, but I never allow it to impact the quality of the service provided. I have a regular client that doesn't tip or rarely. We talked about it once. He just doesn't do much of that and I don't judge him or anyone based on their views.

This past summer, I had a chance to check out two additional of Utah's awesome national park options, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. The Bryce experience was the one I was waiting for as I had been encouraged that direction by my Dad some year's ago. The weather was amazing in the low 80's, clean areas and not too many visitors. Stayed in Bryce Canyon City. The only issue there is the whole place seems to close down about 9:00 p.m., so if you get in later, no restaurants are open. Bryce isn't too large, but the sights are amazing. Loved the trails and people were friendly. Had been to Zion when I was a toddler, so I remember nothing. Had been encouraged to enter from the east side of the park (which clicked well coming from Bryce) by another COM member here and it was well worth it. The northern part of the park is only accessible via bus and not by personal car, but it was awesome. Didn't stay longer than about a day and a half as temps were about 110 in the area. Did explore the "northwest passage", some of which fell outside of the park. Overall a fantastic experience and would encourage anyone to go if you get the chance.

Really no negative experiences beyond having clients cancel or reschedule. I had one experience where the client was preoccupied with a personal issue. These aren't "negative" per se. I always try and learn from any experience , positive or challenging. Lets hope 2025 is a celebration of good vibes and interaction!

While 2024 was a very good year, wishes to all for an outstanding 2025. Hope it is full of positive energy along with health and happiness! My beagle wishes a great holiday too.

And for some, the best thing is simply remain silent

I can see both sides with this discussion. I think some flexibility is a good approach when reading profiles, but if you are specifically looking for a better than average endowment, he is advertising he has that and in reality he doesn't. I can see where that might be a problem for you. Some things are factual. If you were wanting a hire a twink and you contacted me, I wouldn't qualify, I'm a hairy dude. It would be false advertising otherwise. But if someone said he was 8 inches and he was in fact 7.5, well it's up to you on how to approach that. I try to be straightforward with my own profile to avoid this kind of thing. I would suggest a discussion with any provider on this topic to make sure you are getting what you want.

I'll express my opinion on any topic I wish as you may. As I said above, I come from a different place and it quite differently.

Dude, you clearly have no clue as to basic financial, investment or estate planning. I live in the world of the serious when it comes to these topics and I'm not interested in any kind of "fetish" that puts ones economics in jeopardy or at risk. If you have a different point of view, you are entitled to it. I come from a different place.
