  1. No, but I can tell you one to avoid: brownxxl on RM

Very outdated photos, refused to show anything more recent but insisted on a photo of me, difficult about setting up a meeting and then went ballistic and homophobic when he realised I'd been talking to other escorts as well.

I just read the description, sounds batshit, and therefore interesting 🙂

He's one of my favourite authors. And yes, it's batshit crazy and an amazing chaotic story. More England-centric but even more entertaining is Lux the Poet. So is Dreams of Sex and Stagediving (although that doesn't have the fantasy edge that works so well in Good Fairies and Lux).

Milk, Sulphate and Alby Starvation doesn't quite get there, but has some great parts. Ditto Suzy, Led Zeppelin and Me.

I've not had time to read Kink Me Now yet.

Velvety is missing from Prague just now and I have 3 of the better Bel Ami ones here for spring but "Masseur_Lewis" is up advertising  and incredible. All the details in the Prague (and Zurich) Europe topic. A few other famous guys are there now but would be mad if I told openly. I've flown to Prague just to see Velvety and/or Masseur_Lewis before. More than once.

    Thanks.

This is a joint trip with a bunch of old laboratory colleagues from my PhD days so I'll not be looking to meet anyone.

Useful to know for the future, though, as the ex-BelAmi guy I saw in Bratislava (DarioDolce) was incredible.

I'll be in London in three months for my first time, and I've selected Bangcock for my international travel next year.  Glad to hear these are good choices!

I realize the world has gone to the Internet, but do you know of places in London to meet men for hire, such as bars or strip clubs?  I'd rather not spend hours on mobile device searching and sorting through profiles.

Lots of fun guys on RM in London.

  5. Some previously mentioned films I love:

    Victim

    Latter Days

    Broken Hearts Club

    The Boys in the Band

    Priscilla Queen of the Desert

    plus:

    Torch Song Trilogy

    The Fruit Machine

To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar

    My Own Private Idaho

    But I'm a Cheerleader

  6. The threesomes I've had as hookups (always with couples) have always ended up with one person left on the sidelines a bit. Mostly it's one of the couple who's more into it, but sometimes it's the couple who are most into themselves.

With escorts, I've done a three way twice. One, in Birmingham, was with a couple who were mostly into each other and it was pretty unsatisfying. Another, in London, was great. We talked about what I wanted beforehand and they did everything on my wishlist and more, after starting with an amazing 4 handed massage. I was definitely centre of attention and it was a great experience.

There’s a party scene here that eats people up and spits them out. I think maybe some of them (those who are maybe a bit naive or innocent) enjoy it too much and get exploited. Not just Brazilians. Very sad.

Absolutely. Without doubt the sleaziest places I have ever been to were the staff areas at some of the big clubs/bars in Manchester or London when I worked in the brewery industry 20-odd years ago. Heaven was a particularly low point. I doubt it's changed that much.

  8. I've been Type 2 for 2 years, thanks to post-COVID. Managed well with Metformin and intermittent fasting. It's the last remaining post-COVID effect (the joint pain/swelling was the worst, lasted about a year after I'd been in hospital with COVID) and after 2 years, I'm resigned to it being permanent.

Our diabetes teams (in the UK) use a lot of gliclazide, which I'm not really a fan of. I've seen some terrible hypoglycemic crashes with it. We also use a lot of empagloflazin, which also treats heart failure. A very useful combination for elderly patients with both conditions.

  9. It happened to me once and rung alarm bells. This was a provider I contacted through RM in Munich last year. All his photos were 3-5 years old and he refused to send anything more recent, just said "I still look like this". Then, once we'd agreed a time he asked for a photo (he was coming to me, so no security cam etc. reason). When I said no, he launched into a massive homophobic rant.

    Bullet dodged...

I did. Mostly 5star. Like you say, maybe I was just lucky.

Thinking about it, he didn't let me in til he'd seen me on his door camera. Maybe he screens by appearance? Not sure what he'd have been able to tell about me, mind, as I was all covered up because of the heavy rain.

I went to his place. First time-made me wait for an hour outside the building without telling me his apartment number. Then didn't reply.

After a couple of months, I tried again. Made me come again to his place but then made a lot of excuses and ask me to come back later. Not worth it. Maybe you were lucky but my transactions with him are sketchy. Just check some of his reviews in rentmen.

I did. Mostly 5star. Like you say, maybe I was just lucky.

  12. There are books I can read over and over and still be entertained:

The Last Herald-Mage of Valdemar trilogy by Mercedes Lackey (fantasy with a gay lead character)

Drawing Blood by Poppy Brite (beautiful ghost story)

Liquor by Poppy Brite (gay couple setting up a restaurant in New Orleans)

Blue Heaven/Putting on the Ritz/My Lucky Star by Joe Keenan (laugh-out-loud farces from the writer of Frasier)

Lux the Poet/The Good Fairies of New York by Martin Millar (farces with a British punk and fantasy spin)

The Watchmen by Alan Moore (iconic graphic novel that reinvented the superhero genre)

Forty Years of Murder by Keith Simpson (biography of Home Office pathologist)

The Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazny
