I have two stories -
I have stuck with my regulars lately unless I am traveling. 
When traveling  - I hired and did an incall. I asked to use the bathroom and then got half the cash out, and when I came out I just said "yeah its not going to work, but thanks for seeing me - here is half the fee" and put it down and walked out. He had no reviews and I wanted to wait a few weeks before I left a review here and on RM but he has since let his add expire. 
Next one - I hired a guy I had my eye on for a while. He has a pretty big following on twitter and had many good reviews here. The problem? He wouldn't send a face pic. Due to the recommendations here, I decided to hire anyway. He was prompt, clean, friendly and performed well and did everything I wanted to do. The only thing was I was really not attracted to his face and he was fully bald. Nothing wrong with being bald, I like it on some guys. But had I seen his face I really don't think I would have hired. I think this guy knows this, which is why he would not send a face pic rather than being 'extra discrete'. In this case I decided not to leave a bad review or comment here because he was a nice guy and it really was my fault for not insisting on seeing a face pic. Lesson learned.
Moral of the story - If you hire someone with no reviews and their pics are not real, be prepared to just leave some cash, in addition to a bad review, it's the risk you take. 

Theo and I are square as we’re going to get.  I just appreciate all you guys who helped.  And all the providers out there who I have had great experiences with, I appreciate you even more for the mutual trust and respect—especially the twink I hired this weekend who wanted to remain private, but glad I was able to repurpose these funds as a tip for someone who worked extra hard for it 😉

We tend to get habituated to 5-10-fold that amount, predominantly because that is what punters will pay in one particular context.
