I mean, you should expect that the board is acting in the company's interest and that therefore most of the time what they recommend will pass. If their proposals DON'T pass the considerable majority of the time, then you've got a problem with either the board or the shareholders, or both.

If you own your own place and it's in your name, that information is available for anyone who cares to look it up. For that matter mortgages are public record so they can find out how much you owe on the place and your monthly payment if so inclined. So if you're that concerned, don't have them over to your place at all, or wait until it's someone you've seen a few times and have some level of trust with.

I haven't waited long to hear from him, but given we have some uncertainty as to how long/whether this site will stay up, figured I'd mention it here.

Look, you go to Vegas to gamble. If the mood strikes you when there, just hit him up for an immediate appt and view it as a pull of the slot machine. Seems like when he DOES show up, he's good. I didn't try to make a plan for some specific future day since it seemed more likely he wouldn't show. I asked him if he was available in the next few hours and he said yes. I think I had a window with him not a nailed down arrival time but I was okay with that as I was traveling alone and had no other commitments. If you are someone who keeps a tight schedule he's definitely not for you. I'm not defending his flaking on scheduled appointments, I'm just saying if you want to see him and can do it that way, that would be how I'd suggest you go about it.

This is one of those things that I think sounds great in theory but IRL I'm too much of an introvert to make it work.

Thinking more about this, what's the age gap here and how old is he? Kids today don't really have "courting" skills(well, really almost everyone today partly thanks to the apps) and you may want to keep in mind that his "not wanting to date" might not be true. If you really would not ever date him, try to observe if he's catching feelings. Remember the Campfire Rule...

That said, it sure sounds like there was room for the possibility the guy was in excurciating pain for something else that got missed, unless he's a known drug shopper.
