  1. Their customers wanting white people doesn't make it not racism. Holy shit, does that need to be explained?
  2. Well I mean it's sort of considerate if he had to cancel that he looked for an alternate who was available, but he shouldn't have insinuated that you were expected to contact them.
  3. That happened while the virus was at its peak spreading around the community. Now that numbers have plummeted there is no fucking way they are going down like that. Certainly not in two months at a summer trough.
  4. 11000 out of over 150 million just isn't that much. That's one in 10,000.
  5. The death rate has been declining for a century. Going back to the rate from 36 years ago is an increase.
  6. I think there's a subset of the jock types with unresolved feelings for their HS football coach and they develop a fetish for husky older guys.
  7. He doesn't post his full name in the ad, why are you giving it here?
  8. There are plenty of escorts whose day job is training and plenty mention it in their ads.. You could just ask the escorts that catch your eye.
  9. There's a market for everything. As a heavier person I can attest that chasers are a thing.
  10. They anesthetize you, you don't "fall" asleep, you are gently pushed...
  11. What on earth does the percentage of other people unvaccinated have to do with what two vaccinated people do? If you don't think the science supports that level of risk, you shouldn't get in a car amd drive, or ever leave your house really.
  12. This makes it, overall, much LESS deadly than the flu, so yeah, with numbers like that we should be able to go about our lives normally if vaccinated.
  13. Ellen and Rosie should do a new version of "The Odd Couple."
  14. Google sciatic nerve flossing. It's not a quick fix, but it's an easy exercise to do and won't hurt anything. I noticed a few weeks after I started doing it regularly that some of my constant low-grad pain subsided substantially.
  15. Aren't steamrooms still closed just about everywhere regardless of level? They're gonna be the very last thing to open, I would think.
  16. He the one who used to call himself "ProudBoy?"
  17. I definitely got the impression Jake lost his love of the work at some point not that long after he got into porn and added an escort level of service to his options. I think there are aspects of being a "celebrity" that nobody cares for, but bug some more than others. I think he made the mistake of reading the comments section.
  18. How about moving in together and renting a studio apt for the massages? Less savings but still some, and he doesn't have the issue of what to do with you.
  19. What happens in a Petri dish and what happens in the body are often two very different things. Phase One trials are mostly about safety, not truly about efficacy. I'm more hopeful PreP becomes more affordable once the exclusivity of generic Truvada ends later this year. That should be a game-changer.
  20. I don't think you understand how hostile most government programs for the needy can be in certain states. I am a college-educated professional, generally well-versed in financial matters, and it was a great deal of effort to get my sister on Medicaid when she needed it. I can only imagine a lot of people simply give up and go without.
  21. Yeah United has far more 100k fliers than any other airline. If you're getting a free upgrade from them, you paid enough times that you're in a higher financial class. Many years ago I was a consultant and flew cross-country every other week on Continental, and when I stopped doing that I would fly just enough miles to maintain elite status and would get upgraded most of the time(I also made some effort to select flights where there would be a greater chance of getting the upgrade. Once they merged with United, the upgrades came to a screeching halt as the "upgrade wait list" was always at least double the size of the 1st class cabin. Then United started lowering the price a bit on first class occasionally, so now I look for those flights. Once you have paid for an aisle seat, then paid for a row with more legroom, it's basically one more upgrade charge to sit in First.
  22. Just make sure your "quit number" doesn't assume everything continues to go right physically. You get some chronic condition that inhibits your ability to work, your burn rate goes up, and you could be in a lot of trouble unless you have a cushion. How you feel at 45 and 55 can sometimes be VERY different and not necessarily predictable Part of the reason when the opportunity presented itself, I went back to full-time work after a few years off in my late 40s. I realized I'm not sure how long I will be physically completely self-reliant - I'm already paying people to mow the lawn and shovel because I can't. So...back at the corporate grind, maxing out the 401(k) and HSA, and letting my other stuff grow a few more years. And strategizing about my next home and what I will require to age in place.
  23. I have 5 siblings. I made the median income for my family and am far and away the "wealthiest" of us. Largely because I didn't have kids who turned out to have special needs, or crippling depression that doesn't respondvto treatment, or a disease that took my ability to walk and care for myself, or a spouse who got one of the deadlier cancers but lived several years longer than most, costing quite a bit during that time, etc. We need to be more aware of the fact it's not JUST doing the right things, there's a substantial amount of chance involved in our society in "making it." I really can't say I worked harder for my better outcome.
