    Safe vs. bare

Injectable PReP may or may not be a game changer depending how promptly people come back for their booster shots. It's pretty easy for something to come up and make you miss an appointment and then it takes a week or two to reschedule...

That's assuming they are dutifully taking their pills every single day. The vast majority of people on any daily pill regimen miss some number of pills. Yeah,if they're missing one or two a month likely no change to that stat. But what if they're traveling and forgot their pills and it's been a week? How soon do you become infectious again? This happens with ANY daily regimen, BTW not just HIV. I take a cholesterol med that I fully intend to take every day and probably on average once a week I forget. Given HIV isn't something where you immediately feel worse upon a skipped dose, it's unlikely that compliance is higher than average.

  5. I had read it as the guy just got up and left before he could get paid, not that the norm was him to literally ask for the money each time. But I agree the phrasing was unclear. If the fee was known beforehand in general you should hand it to them or leave it somewhere clear for them to pick up.

  7. It's really not that uncommon in the uber-religious parts of the US for there to be women with grandchildren older than some of their kids. When you marry at 18 and aren't allowed to use birth control, and the next generation does the same, it's inevitable.
  8. They've been posting on facebook this week, so it appears so.
  9. I mean, would you want to date him or are you just annoyed at paying and that it's on his schedule?
  10. While intellectually I understand the concerns about consent/altering the body etc., I just can't get worked up about it. There are some benefits for circumcision as well.
  11. unless they're rugby players. It's kind of a thing among rugby teams to get custom Budgy Smugglers.
  12. If he's had a sudden unexplained weight loss he needs to get to a doctor for a full workup. Especially if it's something like diabetes, which can strike at any age and weight.
  13. I would think with a likely commercial real estate crash looming there might be an opportunity for new baths to open up in some cities.
  14. Prior to the advent of IVF, I remember the Guinness Book recognized a 57 year old woman as the oldest documented to give birth. Looking at the "pregnancy over 50" article on wikipedia, it looks like she was on hormone replacement therapy for menopausal symptoms, not trying to get pregnant. And the same thing happened to a 59 year old woman in the UK more recently.
  15. If you google image search "Scott Anthony Playgirl" you'll see him on the cover of the Dec 2002 issue.
  16. It's amazing how quickly norms have changed. When I was a kid, my parents who had had me at 38 and 42 were often mistaken for my grandparents, as so many of my friends' parents had them in their early 20s or younger. (It didn't help them that my oldest sister was 12 years older than me and fully grown at 5'10" and could pass as a young adult when she was 14...). Now MOST of my friends who had kids had their first one after 35. And a few after 45. On the one hand, older parents have more financial resources. OTOH it's extremely physically demanding and when you have kids that late odds are the grandparents aren't in such great shape and may need assistance themselves rather than being able to provide it.
  17. No idea but "short illness" made me think possibly COVID. There's still a random element to who it takes out quickly. He was the first dancer I met at the Gaiety. I thought he was younger, didn't realize he was only 2 years younger than me. He was 25 or 26 when we met and I thought(didn't ask) he was 19 or 20.
  18. He was the first person I went with at the Gaiety. Didn't realize he was only two years younger than me. Damn. I'd tried his old email just to say hello a few times in the past few years but no response.
  19. She's only 52. A lot of people in their 50s still look very good. Peters is over 70.
  20. I think everyone's memories of "the good old days" for hooking up are clouded a bit by the fact that in general, younger people have more options. At least pre-COVID, I don't get the impression that my 20something friends are having thatuch less sex than 20somethings did in the 1990s. If anything I think they're getting more because PreP has removed the terror of getting HIV that led many to sit it out. The 70s were just a unique period in American history where most people, from what I hear, were slutting it up. I would view that era as the aberration.
  21. Generally speaking, white people age worse(from a cosmetic standpoint) and therefore seek out more surgery, but the same skin qualities that make you age poorly make it more obvious when you've have work done. I recall a Roseanne Barr interview during one of her more lucid periods where she said the trick was to just have one facelift and stop there and just be happy with looking younger, you're usually not going to be able to look "young" past a certain age. That said, I think whoever Bernadette Peters uses must be the best.
  22. Do your screens have holes in them? Do you open windows that don't have a screen?
  23. She'd have lived if she wore a seatbelt.
  24. Porn doesn't pay nearly as much as escorting. Don't most of these guys do it just to advertise their escorting? Once your name and image are out there I assume you don't need to do it any more if you don't want to. Also I think he stopped when bareback became the norm. He only did one or two bareback topping scenes.
  25. I mean, there are reams of examples all over Twitter of headlines in the British press that scold Megan for doing something they praised Kate Middleton for. And forget the title - she was getting death threats and they said they wouldn't provide security - that was before the kid was born. She doesn't have to be perfect for them ti be more in the wrong. Harry saw the mother of his child suicidal and his family PREVENTING effective assistance. He got out as he should have. But I do think they had unrealistic expectations of financial support afterwards, and they had other options than attempting to monetize his title.
