My dad did not reach 70.  At the end he regretted not having more fun in life.  Not sure what kind of "fun" he meant.
At least Dad left Mom a comfortable life.
It's a gamble though, having enough money until the end.
So maybe there is not a perfect answer to your question, how much $$ to spend on "fun".
For me, I spend nothing on casinos or ocean cruises.  I'm happier supporting a nice provider with my business.
I do like the above idea that someone drove Uber to pay for his "fun".

I've had CD's with out of state banks and credit unions.  Never had a problem.  Most banks don't or won't send you monthly statements anymore so you should set up online access and check it regularly.  I wouldn't set up a checking account or even a savings account with an out of state institution because, like you, I'd rather have the face to face support in case there's a problem like you need to stop payment on a check.

Boeing is getting very unpleasant publicity this evening on Last Week Tonight. 
In the meantime Boeing has been sued by passengers on that Alaska Airlines flight with door plug that blew out.
I honestly don't know how this might affect the stock tomorrow but I am certainly going to watch tomorrow's trading.

I am not being snarky when I say you might need therapy.  Sure it helps to get a reality check here, but with all you've described,  your situation sounds  super stressful and emotionally draining.
