More squabbling about tips. Maybe everyone should mind their own business on the matter. 

I will say, without referencing the specifics of the above thread, there is a plethora of masseurs in this town who have no idea what they are doing and should get ZERO tips, which might encourage them to do themselves and everyone else a favor by finding an alternative line of work. Compensation should reflect ability and performance. Massage budgets should go to guys who are interested in and are good at their jobs. The incompetents should be weeded out by marketplace feedback, including no tips.

My limited experience with this  forum is how accurate the reviews have been to my eventual experience. However, I usually discount or ignore deliberately negative reviews id they come across as attacks or too emotional. Beina sensitive to the OP, I think most people factor that in.

Except for the fact you can see he's had a tummy tuck. Ive known a few former-fatties, and I'm always happy for them to know they got over their laziness and found fitness. But that ugly leftover lump of flesh around the belly button is unappealing to me and I always obsess over  it.

Okay, I generally leave reviews, though my usernames do not match. I do find it odd to be approached by another client via RMass for two reasons. 1) the degree of anonymity is even higher than here or RMen (where you can at least see each other's profiles), and 2) I've left my review. What else do you want to know? 
I've noticed one member here has a note in his signature that if he's reviewed someone, that's all you're getting, and don't DM him. I kind of understand where he's coming from. While I generally have a great memory, if I've only seen someone once or twice three years ago, I likely don't have much to add. I don't mind very specific questions, like does he kiss? Lastly, the best we can get from this forum is whether a provider treats clients with respect, honors their prices, and matches their photos. All of that also indicates this provider is safe. My parents owned a hair salon, so growing up I was told you don't tip the owner of a business, but you tip the service team because they are maybe renting the chair, etc. I apply that to massage. When I go to a spa, I understand that you are paying the spa for the 60 or 90 minutes, the masseur is getting paid an hourly rate, therefore you tip the masseur at the spa. But if someone is working for themselves they can just set their own rates accordingly. This is why it seemed a bit brazen for him to turn around and ask me for a tip on top of a nearly $500 massage. 

Unless he had to travel at least 2 hours to get to your home, $450 is an absurd price for a massage. Absolutely  bonkers. And then he shook you down for a tip.
