I don't share your assumptions.  I cannot imagine being a customer of any business -- and that includes a man working independently as a masseur -- and asking them to give me something for my birthday unless they advertise that they do that for customers.  (For example, both Peet's and Starbucks give their regular customers free birthday drinks.)  I have had "regulars" offer me something special for my birthday, but those offers were unsolicited by me.

Not only is it subjective. It varies greatly across cultures and throughout history. Look at the representations of masculinity from Don Draper to Andrew Tate to Prince William. Many would argue that only Tate is truly representative of masculinity, when he's a vile misogynist and human trafficker. Others would say Prince William, with his kindness and athleticism, is a positive example, while Tate and Draper are "toxic." And that subjectivity is just within the Western world.

If this provider was upfront, and would still offer a regular private fee-per-hr session in lieu of the two-way mirror thing, great! In my 30's, I might have been confident enough (though still shy) to go along. For exhibitionists, if the free massage is decent, why not??
