Hey Jeffster you obviously haven't spent much time in Utah or talking to good Mormon boys. My mother's family was from Utah and I used to spend a considerable amount of time there. For some reason, don't ask me why, Mormon men learn, from childhood, to speak as Alex does - tone, pitch, and cadence . They are also taught to play a musical instrument, usually the piano. Alex plays the piano. Everything about him, except his gayness and his porn career reeks of his Utah background.

Prior to my 2 recent surgeries, when I was suffering, and wheelchair/bed ridden I registered for medical marijuana program, which also encompasses CBD. I stocked up on capsules, vapes, oils, and even mints to use in conjunction with my regular pain meds. I had read, and heard of people having very good results in lessening or eliminating their pain. Unfortunately, I did not have the same result. After allowing more than enough time for it to build up in my system, I found NO relief using it. Perhaps I was resistant to it, I'm not sure. All it did for me was make me slightly drowsy, but as for the pain or state of mind, it did nothing.
I might add that not all my doctors were onboard with it. Some said I should try it, while others would not recommend it.....
 
My advise is...TRY IT.... you might be one of the lucky ones it works on. And it CANT hurt.

Not sure what happened with this thread, but figured I’d follow up with my latest experience in Detroit since I was just there the other day. Stayed from a Wednesday to Saturday.
 
This was my 2nd trip to the surrounding area(s). I mainly went to see 2 of my favorite regular clients...but I did have a couple of days to assess the market. Now, at this point with my travel experience, I’m well aware of 3 facts:
 
A) 2 or 3 days isn’t long enough to really meet all your potential in a market.
 
B) A City may not be good 1 week/month, but could be good on another week/month
 
C) some cities have changed over the Years.
 
However: my verdict on Detroit is I won’t be eager to plan another visit in the near future. I had several people reach out for a appointment on Rentmen and non of them except my 2 regulars showed up. Not to mention, A4A was not happening there either. Like I said, I wasn’t relying on meeting new clients because I was set. But, I wouldn’t go to Detroit unless I had something lined up anyway. I also tried remotely from some of the surrounding cities, Ann Arbor, Lansing, The Saguatack (can’t get that spelling right), Grand Rapids. All I got was a bunch of “feelers” from people who send, “are you in (insert name of city)”. Then I’d take the time out to respond, and they end up not coming thru. Again, it could be different another time...but I’m not eager to find out. Plus when I was in Detroit couple years ago, I noticed people were doing the same thing. Reaching out for bookings and not following back up.
 
Detroit pretty much reinforced my vibe of many rust belt cities, and Chicago is 1 of them too. The potential is definitely there, but being it’s not really on the way to any places I visit...I can’t see any reason for me to go back to Michigan unless either 1 of my regular clients invite me back. So @ChristianCronin, its good that you already have another job lined up...If it were me I’d certainly want to have my hands on other things as well.

Im also concerned about bleeding to death out of my ass. I have never had a major bleed, but that doesn't mean I won't.

I take a prescription blood thinner and I'm very susceptible to bleeding. I let the provider know in advance and ask him to let me know if he sees any blood. If yes, I look to see how much. If im not comfortable with the amount, we take a break or maybe stop altogether.

FreshFluff, I'm so sorry to hear of your problems. But, instead of medical marijuana, have you considered CBD oil? CDB comes from hemp but does not have the "high" affects of marijuana. My nephew swears by it for his diabetic nephropathy. It comes in drops, beverages (here in Portland they're sold at the liquor stores), and lotions. SeeBeDee (https://seabedee.org/) is the site I've been looking at and they have a wide variety of products - especially one for joint and muscle pain.
 
Since Thanksgiving I've started developing some serious mobility issues. It started when I lost strength in my leg muscles and couldn't get out of a chair without extreme difficulty. Then my hands started shaking so bad I couldn't use a mouse or type. Then I got Foot Drop in my right foot. In short, that is similar to my foot being paralyzed from the ankle down. I now have a foot brace. I also had to stop using my sneakers and switched to my steel-toed work boots which provides more support for my ankles and a very non-flexible sole.
 
Ten days ago my physical therapist and 2 doctors (all seen on the same day) independently told me that I could no longer function with a cane and needed to use a walker. They also all told me to stop driving. So, I've been home-bound and have been working hard on the exercises from the physical therapist.
 
Like I said, my next option (in addition to continuing my medical tests / visits) is the CBD oil. From what I've read it has provided help and support for people with a variety of ailments.
 
Please, keep us advised on your progress. I'd explore all options before agreeing to surgery. I firmly believe in physical therapy, chiropractic massages, good diet, holistic options and similar things before surgery.

Just checked my profile. It says I started 23 Aug 05. However, I believe that is when Daddy took over after HooBoy. I remember interacting with HooBoy before his death. He actually took me to the woodshed a couple of times for some of my controversial / inappropriate posts. Thanks goodness I've calmed down since them (or at least drink less while on-line).
