Although Guy Fawkes did a great service by keeping this site alive, I believe it was "Hooboy" who had the original idea to create the site, with help from various internet-savvy guys he knew. Hooboy died unexpectedly while vacationing in Thailand. He was a radio commentator and had a radio show in Hawaii. Although Hooboy had the idea of creating the site, it was Guy Fawkes who spent an enormous amount of time over the years keeping the site alive. Fortunately, for forum members, RadioRob came to the rescue of the site after the death of Guy Fawkes and has kept this site going with many improvements.5 points -
I found this site when Hooboy was running it, and I met Daddy on a number of occasions after he took it over. I am grateful to both of them, and to those who have kept it going strong since Daddy's demise, because in my old age, it is pretty much the only connection I still have to the gay world of which I once considered myself an active part. May they and other contributors who have have left the Company of Men rest in peace.4 points

Just realized that three Palm Springs escorts are currently being discussed in the Deli. If any of our members hire them it might be a good idea to invite them to the Palm Springs Weekend. A number of attending members hire during that weekend so having a good selection of escorts attend might work really well for the escorts as well as for our attending members.3 points -

Went to The Purple Room in 2020 - can not remember want I saw but do remember that i enjoyed the evening. I would describe it as an evening at a Cabaret.2 points -

I switched my reservation to the Yotel Hotel, located across the street from the Hyatt. It was sold out previously, but they added another block of rooms. I'd stayed there before when it was under different management, but not since it's been a Yotel.1 point -

i was looking for the Palm Springs thread and couldn't find it. I did find this post, so thank you Oliver for creating it! My comment is concerning a place in Palm Springs that might be fun to patronize at some point, especially for those arriving early or staying longer. It's call The Purple Room. I'd never heard of it before today, but ran across it while surfing the Internet. Looks like a fun place to see a show. Has anyone been to The Purple Room? IMAGE1 point -

I stayed at one on the 2100 block of P Street (a couple of blocks from Du Pont Circle) that was quite reasonable, but it looks like it's the Royal Sonesta now. A couple of weeks later I stayed at another IHG property (Holiday Inn at 1500-ish RI Avenue), also reasonable. Edited to add: I booked the then Kimpton place through Qantas Hotels which meant I earned miles for it but it also meant the stay didn't count towards IHG rewards.1 point -

There used to be the Palomar in Dupont but it's no longer a Kimpton. I'm not sure about other Kimptons in the area. As @Derrick mentions there is The George within a block of MAL. I've stayed there and liked it. I'm booked there for this trip.1 point -

I've declined, as I don't think it will be possible. However, if the Great Reopening happens earlier than expected I'll reconsider. At this stage, available air fares are still 'unrealistic', although that would change if travel restrictions from here ease. Have a great time, guys!1 point -
