I guess I'm one of the few, too. My RM profile has details on my likes/preferences too.

I'm on the fence about escorts making first contact though. I get it that they are trying to drum up business, and I can even understand if they see that I viewed their profile. Hey, I showed interest, right? What annoys me is when random escorts message me. Nine times out of ten, they are totally not my type. It's almost as bad as getting a cold call about lowering my interest rates on credit cards. Not interested/delete/bye!

I'm just going to put my two cents in, rentmen has issued every single provider a email saying that they've been through their entire advertisement, likes , dislikes, even asked us not to say certain things over the message board. If you would like to see this I could p.m. it to you. I can honestly say I've contacted clients. And most of the time it's me thanking them for the interest and complement of checking me out. With everything that's going on with the new laws that were signed in by Trump, hence the seizure of Backpage. Also here in South Florida I've noticed that the massage parlors have even started closing 8:30 9 in fear of raids. And furthermore I know a lot of my buddies that are in the business that have been set up by fake profiles of clients and arrested. But that's a whole different set of worms to open. I've even been a little leery of leaving my home to meet people, unless I know you. I can say 90% of the clients that are on rentmen have no profiles or anything that describes them or their likes.

The guy on the other end told me his name and was calling me to see if I was interested. I let the call go to VM just incase it was a robocall. I don't mind when they contact me, and my profile is pretty complete, but I have certain preferences (prefer older, none or very few discreet tats, no piercing, neat, and rugby physique - which as a combination most do not have). But that they take the time to contact me, and if they look like they might work, it starts the conversation and usually ends with a hire.

I’ve got a fairly complete client profile that has some detail about me, what I’m looking for and a few pics. I put a fair bit of efffort into it (and, more recently, updating it to pass RM’s criteria) because I hope that guys I contact will read it and let me know if we’re a match - or he doesn’t think we fit. Sometimes I get a response of “I think we’re a great match” but more often I think it’s ignored.

Like in any field some people care and some don’t.

 

Regarding the OP, I very much welcome contact from guys who've read my profile and think we’re a good match. If they can pleasanty articulate something about a shared interest then it’s a virtually guaranteed hire.

Someone who has been a provider for much longer than I have advised me not too long ago that I should always contact people who look at my profile. If the potential client has their profile filled out, I definitely read it and use what I can to strike up a conversation. Or to decide we may not be a match (like if someone says they’re specifically looking for tall guys, or uncut guys, etc.)

 

I’ve met a couple of guys who I contacted first. And I’ve had at least one convo go nowhere. And a slew of others who never respond. But this is a business and all businesses require footwork of some sort. It’s worth the effort of taking two minutes to send someone a message who had looked at my profile. The worst thing they can do is ignore me and I haven’t lost anything. But the potential gain if they respond and show interest is totally worth it.

Escorts turn me down because I am asian or that I am an asian top. Then there are those escorts that you reached out to and serious about a session with them, you give them dates and time that you want to hook up with , the escort read the message but never responded back. For example, I reached out to this escort Jock J, I think that is his profile name, buff, hairy, beautiful face gorgeous hairy body, I sent him a message, he responded to my first message and he was real nice and asked when I want to hook up for a session. I gave out the time and date for the session and asked him to confirm. I even told him the area that my hotel was at, then he checked out my profoile , then I I didnt get a response back at all. I would expect the professional courtesy of saying you not my type or even lie and say I am booked maybe next time, and not leave the potential client hanging. The other esocrt that was disappionting was porn star Jaxton Wheeler, what a man, hot and handsome, he was in LA, I reached out to him, he answered the call I gave him time and session, and he was like uh, I don't know if I want to have a session, maybe later, I will give you a call if I am in the mood for a session. If that is the case, don't put Available Now. I dislike falky clients, and dislike flaky escorts even more.
