Bringing lube

I had a popular escort once forget to bring lube. He just texted me and I picked some up on the way to his hotel room.

I can see that it’s more of a problem if he shows up without it. But isn’t there something in the hotel gift shop that can be used as a substitute? Maybe baby oil?

Who has the responsibility for providing lube, condoms, etc., the escort or the client? I had a situation where neither of us brought any lube, so very little fucking took place that time. I find it hard when traveling to an unknown city to either try to carry lube on an airplane or search out a place to buy some near the airport. Does it make a difference whether you are doing an incall or outcall?

The escort should have them at home or bring them with him.

Now a lot of folks just give up on condoms because of PrEP, I'm sure they won't give up on lub.

I have a different take on this. I had an escort explain to me that if he was traveling (rather than hosting), that by his merely having lube and condoms on him he opens himself up to incrimination... that this is frequently used as "evidence" gathered during sting operations. For this reason, on his first visit to any new client he would specifically NOT bring condoms and lube (nor would he discuss who would provide them beforehand). And I get it. Escorts deal with an imperfect world and their careers create a challenging obstacle course.

For this reason - I would advise - as a client always be prepared.

Police occasionally present the presence of condoms and lube on the accused's person as evidence of intended prostitution. Lame, but true.

Fair enough. I’d never want a companion to do anything that increases his risk.

However, the last three guys I met were first-time outcalls to my hotel and none had either condoms or lube and it changed the trajectory of the three meets and, ultimately, were not as enjoyable as they otherwise could have been.

I note in my profile that I use Telegraph for secure messaging and ProtonEmail and having this discussion about a trip to the drug store in advance would have been nice. I really welcome secure, timed emails.

That’s ridiculous. A person can’t travel being prepared to have a sexual encounter of any kind?!

Well you can call me ridiculous, but I know that in court proceedings an accused defendant's possession of condoms is frequently asserted in showing intent. So I don't think my escort was coming out of left field with his assertion. I'm just trying to flesh out the argument to be prepared.

Intent to have sex. But lots of people have sex and they aren’t criminals.

It’s like saying “I know you were intending to sexually abuse that child because YOU WERE CARRYING A CONDOM!” Unmmm no.

When I used to hook up, I had too many bad experiences where neither one provided anything, so any experience I now bring anything I’d need to feel comfortable.

Any provider should have everything and figure out how to get it there.

In fact, i tell clients I’ll have condoms, Lube, poppers and the works, but if they have anything that they prefer to feel free to bring it.

Once I had a guy that was like “lube? You came prepared!” And I was so confused.

If they thought me bringing condoms and lube were questionable, they should see the pair of 12 inch blades (figure skates) I also bring along. I get so many funky stares at TSA when I go through the check lol. They are indeed allowed

Wow Victor. If I’m paying a pro $250 an hour, I’d expect him to always possess the essential tools of the trade. If a plumber came to my house and asked if he could borrow my tools, I wouldn’t hire that guy again.

Who is supposed to do it or whose job it is isn't the proper question. In my experience, escorts come ready for most eventualities. But if the client is going to do everything he can to insure a safe, satisfying encounter, he won't assume that the escort will furnish everything.

It's a question of responsibility, not who owes who.

I agree on all points and I’m always prepared with the necessary supplies, but a professional escort ought to bring to a job not only his primary tool, but all essential accessories. In my experiences (including those with Victor Powers), they have done so.
