poppers mishap

Last night I was with one of my favorite masseurs and it was getting more intimate than usual...which was fine with me. In the middle of the act he took out some poppers, he took his two sniffs and offered it to me, I don’t normally do poppers and it had been awhile since the last time I had. So I was flat on my back when I took the poppers ( not thinking) it was one of the worst feelings I felt it go all up in my head and felt dazed for a few minutes. And for the rest of the time it felt like I had a terrible head cold. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Many people report similar reactions, the only solution is to avoid if you find the effect unpleasant. The legal grey area around poppers means you can never be sure what's in the bottle, and various combinations of chemicals will have different effects.

 

Oh, and never try to inhale from a bottle of poppers in anything other than an upright position.

I didn’t feel pressured to take it and I have used poppers before the problem was I was flat on my back and as @robear pointed out you need to be upright.

I tried poppers once back in the 80s,I hated it so much it gave me a horrible feeling I will never do it again I don't judge people who do it but I also don't understand the allure of it and I think its really bad for the brain and body and generally don't care for the behavior of guys who use it excessively

I love 'em, but, it seems they're not for everybody. I'm not surprised you felt like you had a headcold. Poppers are a pretty harsh substance. I'm sure getting the stuff directly on the mucus membranes in your nose and sinuses irritated them badly.

 

Even though I say I love them, I'm losing interest in them because the ones now available just aren't very good and they give you a stuffed up nose.

Cognitive function is the same for a group that used poppers and those that didn’t. Had no effect either positive or negative.

I always liked poppers in moderation but subsequent (not due to the poppers) medical developments made me leery to take them. Moreover, I heard that if you are taking Viagra or Cialis you should not take them. Not sure if that is correct.

NO nitrates should be taken with Sildenafil or the others.

 

Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis all work by decreasing the breakdown of nitrates. Using poppers, nitroglycerin, or isosorbides can lead to dangerously low levels of blood pressure.

I have seldom used poppers. When I have the effect has not been all that good for me. If a sexual partner wants to use them that's ok with me.

It's been dog-years since I've used them. However, I do remember a time when I had the same experience as the OP. I was reclining and some of the chemical spilled from the bottle into my nostrils. It was a very humbling experience.

The one thing that poppers seemed to "help" with is that I am not a natural bottom but wanted to experience it. It seemed that if I used poppers I could get through the beginning stages and would enjoy a nice fuck. I did have to be pretty explicit that care needed to be taken however the top seemed to really like the expression of enjoyment once things got going.

I've experienced the stuffed-nose feeling after poppers sometime. It never occured to me that it might be because I'm lying down, this is the first I've heard that.

Yeah I’ve never had the stuffy nose or light headed feeling before...it’s possible I took a higher dose of it and it seemed harder than I normally would I felt like I was going to faint right away...I still have a stuffy nose now and the back of my mouth is irritated still...but still had great sex

I developed asthma or became aware that I had the condition when I was in my mid-30s. It's fairly likely that using poppers in my 20s and 30s profoundly aggravated the condition or possibly brought it on. I was a lousy bottom until I discovered poppers though. I had some mind-blowing sex that I still remember fondly from that period.

I've used hundreds of bottles of poppers with thousands of Viagras over time. The only side effect is the raunchy brown stain on your thumb.

 

The things we call poppers nowadays are little more than nothing. A placebo to bring back fond memories for some of us.

 

A brand new bottle may have a minimal effect and also kill the erection. After 5 minutes the bottles dead flat.

 

The worst thing to kill Viagra erections is smoking before or during sex. And the very worst side effect of Viagra is the killer heartburn if you forget to take a strong antacid before the Viagra. (different subject)

I miss the old poppers formula. Everything on the market is just crap compared to the euphoria I felt from the real poppers. Wish I knew where to find them....
