+ stevenkesslar Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) Can’t wait for next year. Me too! I think this was my 10th consecutive year. And that's not escort years or escort inches - 10 actually means 10. No one else has said it, so I will. This is a year in which the threat of survival hung over us in a way that it never has before. Will escort websites still be around a year from now? And if not, what will be the oxygen that feeds and connects this community? I've felt this way every year, but I think I felt it this year more than ever. This is a community I love, and am proud to be a part of. Nothing anybody says or does, and no law that tries to diminish us, can change that. I love Oli. I love Epi. I love the fact that we are who and what we are. I love the fact that every year some hot, bright, shining new escorts arrive, and they look ever younger and prettier and ever better endowed. I love the fact that new forum members bring their passion and excitement and hunger for friendship and support and community. I love the fact that men who I have known for moving on two decades show up, smile, care, cuddle, and suck cock. They've been my rock in good times and bad. The oxygen that feeds this community is the love, respect, and concern we have all shared with each other. And neither the Palm Springs winds nor federal laws can blow that away. Our community set a national example for how to feel and care and love and accept when it came to same sex marriage. This is a scary and confusing time. But my conviction coming out of this weekend is that nothing has changed, and we are stronger than we have ever been. This next year will probably be a wild ride, and I don't presume to know exactly where it will lead us. But wherever it goes, we're all in it together. And next year we'll have Oli's beads and Epi's empanadas and Tristan's kind eyes and hot body and Lord knows what new wonders to enjoy together. So, yeah. I can't wait for next year! + Robster Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) And there it is. The pool party! Considering your comments in an earlier blog post about guests appreciating anonymity and discretion, I have to say that I was VERY surprised to see myself included in one of the photos from the pool party. A photo that I was neither aware of, nor consented to. I would appreciate you cropping me out of it, thanks. Rob Edited April 18, 2018 by Robster + José Soplanucas 1

A photo that I was neither aware of, nor consented to. I would appreciate you cropping me out of it, thanks. Rob I think that those are my legs in the pics with Tristan B and Victor P. How lucky can you get! Luckily none of the rest of me made it into the photo. Death by comparison is hurtful. I did, however, did get to hear the delightfully sexy voice of LatinBear, although most of what I was privy to was the desirous moanings regarding a Persian prince. Finally, there were the dates, stuffed with pistachios and wrapped in bacon. Heaven on earth. + José Soplanucas, + Summerson, + Oliver and 1 other 4

I do not even recognize the faces in the background and I thought no one would. I am very sorry Rob, it was not my intention to violate anyone's privacy. Now I feel like shit.

I am very sorry Rob, it was not my intention to violate anyone's privacy. Now I feel like shit. Yes, it's fixed now. The picture at the top wasn't too bad, but when the same picture was repeated, about halfway down the page, you could click on it, and enlarge it to about 4000 by 3000 pixels. The thing was HUGE, and my face was very clearly visible, along with at least two others. Thank you for fixing it. Rob s1conrad and MiamiLooker 2

I should have been more careful. I asked for permission to everyone closed up in the pictures. I was not careful enough with the background in one of the pics and offended @Robster . I am very sorry for not being more careful. I have no excuses, it is my fault. I fixed it as soon as I was asked to.

+ Robster Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 It's always been my understanding that photos aren't allowed at these events, for just this reason. I don't know why no one said anything. I don't know why no one said anything. If I'd known you were taking pictures, I certainly would have said something. Rob No one told me, it is my first PS week end. I did not sneak the pictures. I went openly to the providers, asked them for a picture for my blog, and took the pics only when they accepted it. I assumed everyone knew what I was doing, I was not hiding. I am very sorry for the inconveniences.
TruthBTold Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 I really had not heard of picture restrictions. Now that it has been highlighted I am sure that every one is glad that we are all more aware and will be more careful. Perhaps this information can be posted and highlighted in the various emails that are sent out detailing the various aspects of the Weekend, such as the dinner and the pool party. Having met Latinbear and spending time with him I cannot imagine he meant any harm to anyone and was as in the dark as I was. In fact, I am probably not in the same predicament because I am so technologically backward that even taking pics, much less publishing them in any way, would be a big step for me.
+ Eric Hassan Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) This weekend is something I look forward to for months and it did not disappoint. I love being a part of this community and enjoy every minute of our time together in PS. It was great to connect with old friends and new friends, and see the freedom and joy in everyone. As some of you may know by now, Monday turned out to be a very different day. David SF and I were spending some time together. We got on his motorcycle and went to lunch. On the way home, a car pulled out into traffic and we were unable to stop or swerve. We hit him at about 45 mph and were thrown into the air along with the bike, somersaulting and I got banged by the bike in the air. We both had helmets on and landed on our backs in the street. Neither of us lost consciousness. We were transported by ambulance to the hospital where tests revealed that I had a sprained left ankle and my body is covered in scrapes and wounds. David fared better externally but has sprained fingers, sprained right ankle, and multiple fractures in his lumbar spine. We were both allowed to return home that evening. David’s husbands (Todd and Carl) have been taking care of us in every way. We are both able to walk now but are still in significant pain. I’m here until Saturday and am staying with the guys so they can help me bathe, dress, and treat my wounds. I thought I was going to die and in the time since, I’ve had a variety of unpleasant experiences. I’m focused on my gratitude that I’m alive. In the grand scheme of things, we are lucky to have gotten off with only the injuries we had, and the love and service that Todd and Carl and David have shown me have been instrumental in my physical and mental healing. I could give all the warnings now about safety. I could go on about how grateful I am. These things are true, but I’m still a bit in shock and relatively rattled and really don’t feel like getting preachy. I’m alive, David is alive, we got one last hot fuck in after lunch before all of this, and life will go on (and we’ll get to have more sex). I’m looking forward to seeing everyone next year. Thank you for making this community a home for me. Edited April 18, 2018 by Eric Hassan big-n-tall, + Tarte Gogo, + Reisr30 and 13 others 16

Thank you for the post. I was wondering whether you or David would post something. Many of us heard about what happened and were worried about you two. I hope you have good health insurance. If we can help by raising funds to pay for unexpected medical expenses, etc., please let us know. We have done this before. Meanwhile, glad to see you have the right attitude. We are all clicking our heels for you. In no time at all you will be back to normal, or homo sweet homo, or wherever it is you are after you've flown over Kansas.
