I'll bet you a quarter that the local optics shops have a run on binoculars and telephoto lenses.

If I need god damned "binoculars" and a "telephoto lens"...

then they're not doing MY kind of "all nude male Hamlet"!

Did you see their previous production, "The Tempest"? Are they any good or is it just sensationalized Shakespeare?

I did not. The website suggests to me a quality production.

Does Brooklyn not count as New York City? Don't tell @Russ, I don't want him to tell me that he is out of town!

Brooklyn is indeed part of New York City; as are queens the Bronx and Staten Island.

I must be much further out of touch than I imagined. Adults performing nude in an NYC public park at 2:00pm and 5:30pm time slots, and the authorities are okay with it?

Several years ago a small theatre company in the DC area did an all-nude Macbeth (with men and women). The rationale was that they should look primitive, and the actors were told not to cut their hair or shave any part of their bodies for several months before rehearsals started. The problem was, all the actors except the Macbeths played three or four roles. With no costumes, a naked actor would come on stage and you'd wonder, "Who is he now?" since their appearance never changed.

Yes they all are part of NYC, but colloquially, those in the other boroughs often refer to Manhattan as either "the city" or "New York."

Guys, for effect I was deliberately misinterpreting what Kevin said, reading the one word 'Brooklyn' as contradicting the question, 'This is in New York City, right?' when he was agreeing that it was and specifying which part of the city. Allow me to reassure you that I knew Brooklyn is one of the five boroughs!

But only Manhattan is New York County.

My gentleman caller (who works as an analyst for the Parks Department) told me that Hamlet was being performed in Prospect Park when I saw him Friday, but he didn't mention that it was an all-male production performed in the nude. It's an especially strange oversight because he's into nudism; in June we stayed overnight at a nudist resort he goes to once or twice a year.

fyi, their Website reports now extended to Central Park

Imagine how close it's getting to Trump tower!

Also there is a warning to families with children that the performance has ghosts!
