If an escort doesn't reveal his full face in his ad but gives the option to send a face pic, is that an issue for clients?

I found four of my favorite escorts by vetting ads (and reading all the reviews written about them) in which they never showed their faces. My first ever escort, @AresEscortNYC, who convinced me the very first time I hired him that I had found the hobby of my (wet) dreams! Raul G. Manzo in Chicago, who has become quite a great friend, as has Logan Brock in Dallas and Dario in DC. I still see all of these wonderful men (their RM ads still do not show their faces!) as often as I can and certainly feel like they were and still are some of the best guys I've ever been lucky enough to meet!!!

Hmm that would seem fine to me but wouldn't it be easier to just do a quick facetime or skype to see an escorts face. For the most part though I have noticed two things. 1) a majority of escorts will place a face pic in the private pic section of RM. 2) Even if they don't post a face pic if they use their real phone number you can just save it to your phone and after a couple of days you can easily find them on facebook and get all the face pics you want.

I tend to skip over the profiles without out a face pick most of the time. That doesn't mean I've not hired guys without one though. Not having a face picture adds the extra layer of requesting a photo. That can result in back and forth exchanges that become frustrating at times.

Ultimately, it's your comfort level that matters in this instance. You have to decide if you are willing to risk any consequences related to your profile picture being discovered by family, friends, or potential employers.

Consider a private gallery option as an alternative solution if you have concerns. Rentmen has them and you can provide the password to seriously interested clients upon request.

It potentially causes me to move on..if you are an escort and your hiding your use identity because of your "real job" i get it. Call me jaded but the face is not the deal breaker for me in hiring an escort. It's the body ass legs dick that sell me plus their interaction thru texting etc. That make the difference. I'm not sure I've ever hired an escort without seeing their face. If they want to see a pic of me I'll send it but it's me at the gym etc. No nude pics ever.

Chiming in here from a client perspective.

There are very successful providers who do not show their face. One reason given is they have clientele very focused on discretion - especially in a public setting.

It wouldn’t be a deal breaker not to have a face photo. But….

Goes back to my response in your earlier thread:

https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/what-most-attracts-you-in-an-escorts-ad.125641/page-2

If the photos that you do use are well composed, draw “initial interest” and exude a bit of mystery I’d likely be willing to dig deeper.

Maybe consider photos that are a bit of a compromise.

- Shadow, silhouette or photo angle with just enough lighting to give some indication about you.

- Pixilation or blurring that still gives an indication.

- A narrow “rectangle slice” (or two) that gives an idea about you. Maybe a diagonal “slice” that takes in most of an eye, some cheek, a little corner of your smiling mouth and part of your chin.

If discretion is your focus I’d suggest not showing your “package” in the same photo as your face. That way, if photos get back to grandma, you can try to claim “plausible deniability” that someone stole your photos. And don’t use any ad photos anywhere else. Especially any kind of social media.

Actually a “package” shot, covered by tight wet briefs, probably gives enough information for that area for initial contact.

From the pure business point of view I think showing a face pic on your ad will increase your business.

Having said that I've hired plenty without seeing a face pic. A positive review here with the reassurance

"don't worry about the lack of a face pic...he's handsome"....is enough for me.

Nonetheless, I occasionally hire with no knowledge of their "facial looks". It's only been an issue

a few times. Usually the problem is more strange hairlines/haircuts or serious facial deformities

rather than "just plain ugly". If it's a major issue for me, I mark it up to experience. pay the full fee,

and excuse myself. It's my fault for booking without a face pic.

The truth is when they're face down and ass up...just about everyone is beautiful in my book.

Now if I get a face pic and it doesn't match reality....that's a total different issue and I have

no problem sending that escort packing with an empty wallet.

To play the devil's advocate....there is a subset of clients (I have no idea how large it is)

that demands absolute discretion and would NEVER hire an escort who has tied his face to an

escort ad. The assumption is that it's impossible for anyone else to PROVE his date is an escort.....

unless of course you've hired him yourself...in which case you're likely to keep your fucking mouth shut.

Again, it's not an issue for me....but I know it is for some.

It only takes a single message to text someone and ask for a face pic. Since many of you are already willing to message about likes/rates/availability, it seems pretty silly not to just ask that extra question.

I know everyone's busy but... come on!

The OP asked what effect "would" that have. In other words, he was eliciting true responses. He wasn't interested in people's notions of what effect it "should" have.

My first hires were from text only ads in the backs of newspapers.

Some were good, some weren't.

As the internet entered every aspect of life, many of my hires had ads with face pics.

Some were good, some weren't.

Even in the internet age, I hired guys whose ads didnt have face pics

Some were good, some weren't.

I've read a lot of posts on this forum, from guys with and without face pic avatars.

Some were good, some weren't.

My first hire twenty years ago was from a text ad in the backpages of a gay paper. I decided to take the plunge. He turned out to be everything I could have hoped for.

We've become more risk-averse about hiring in the internet age, but isn't that part of the value proposition in information technology - more information equals better choices/decisions?

I use a separate phone number to preserve privacy

As I've said before, the more obstacles you put in the way, the more difficult it is for a potential client to be drawn into that initial contact.

As a salesperson for yourself, you want to be able to draw clients in. It is part of the sales process.

So, without a face pic, the rest of your ad has to draw me in. If you throw onto that "Ask Me" for things, or poor ad text, or limited ways to contact you, or come across as limited, or etc... then I'm not going to bother contacting.

I agree with most all you say.....In the "early" days just reading "6'2"/200/hairy" = sounded hot enough to give a shot & hire....& most went well....or well enough at least for meeting once....now I'm spoiled....generally no hiring without seeing a face pic at some point during the "negotiations".....a few exceptions to that rule along the way but only in specific situations or with certain understandings (good looks guaranteed to be to my liking on arrival or they leave with no hard feelings (& no $$$), etc., etc)......generally, I'm attracted to masculine, aggressive, confident men / personalities....if they're confident enough of their looks to offer the guarantee, I might be inclined to accept those terms.
