I agree with most all you say.....In the "early" days just reading "6'2"/200/hairy" = sounded hot enough to give a shot & hire....& most went well....or well enough at least for meeting once....now I'm spoiled....generally no hiring without seeing a face pic at some point during the "negotiations".....a few exceptions to that rule along the way but only in specific situations or with certain understandings (good looks guaranteed to be to my liking on arrival or they leave with no hard feelings (& no $$$), etc., etc)......generally, I'm attracted to masculine, aggressive, confident men / personalities....if they're confident enough of their looks to offer the guarantee, I might be inclined to accept those terms.

I'm not advocating for others to require or forgo a face picture.

 

Fact is: these days, I'd probably be deterred by no face picture myself.

 

Last guy I hired had no face pic in his ad. But I found his Instagram... told him I had.... and we had a decent conversation before I agreed to work with him.

I've become aware of my attitude related to face pics.... perhaps partly because of this post.

 

If his face pics include one or two with a friendly smile, I'm much more interested.

 

I recognize that, in many ways, the process of using ads to identify potential guys, is also a screening process. And screening is, in many ways, filtering out.

• I'm put off by ads with only hastily taken, often blurry pictures - even with a face picture. I might be mistaken, but I feel that its indicative that he's more likely in it for quick money, thinks its easy money. (and no, I'm not naive.... I know that its about the money in all situations.)
  
• I'm put off by ads where all face pics are some attempt at conveying attitude. Scowls, aggression, attempts at intensity that actually look hostile, boredom, etc. I move on, even if I'm inclined to drool over the neck-down.
  

I watched some amateur porn videos recently. Three guys, all getting head. I realized that, while he wasn't the most beautiful, not the most shredded, the guy with a giant grin on his face, genuinely having fun (or a great actor for amateur vids) was more of a turn-on than the others.

 

So, although somewhat off topic.... I'm recognizing that an escort's genuine or projected ability to have fun is important to me, and therefore, the specifics of his face picture matter to me as a potential client.

Two of my best times have been with escorts with no face pic. One is my go to guy. I have found at times, there have been times when I have connected with guys who do not look like their pics. So, you could miss out on someone just because they do not have a face pic

Not as long as they are willing to give a recent face. If they won't give a face pic prior to meeting than it's a deal breaker (same with a regular free online hookup). I also ask if the pic is under a year old (I've seen escort ads where they've had the same pic for 5+ years)

It only takes a single message to text someone and ask for a face pic. Since many of you are already willing to message about likes/rates/availability, it seems pretty silly not to just ask that extra question.

No need to worry about a face picture with this beautiful, young man I can say from personal experience, but the lack of face pix in an ad is no problem. I just ask, usually.

When the person involved has a reputation and history with favorable reviews, the absence of facepics seems like it shouldn't be a dealbreaker unless the potential client is looking to hire someone with a specific look.

 

I also wonder if anyone has considered that in addition to guaranteeing privacy and discretion (while out in public, a client's status as a client will not be recognized because someone recognizes the escort from his photos), escorts who don't share facepics may be using that to screen clients? There is often a "tut tut this doesn't make business sense" tone to these discussions that assumes the escorts who do this are missing out on a market they want.

That depends on what you mean by stable.

 

Everyone will always lose clients/customers, over time. They will move away, die, find other things to be interested in, be lost to competitors, their lives change and move on, blah, blah, blah...

 

If by stable you mean that you have a consistent influx of 'replacements' to offset your lost clients through 'attrition', then stable is fine.

If by stable you mean that you have all the clients you want and aren't thinking about what happens next, or what happens if you lose a client, then stable is really stagnant.

I was just going to ask a question similar to this.

 

I look for a face pic in both escorts and masseurs. Mainly because two things attract me, hairy chest and average/handsome face. In fact, a really handsome face can make up for a smooth chest

 

Also, I feel that if there is no face pic, the pro is trying to hide something.. I've read a few threads on here and other boards that have mentioned guys using someone else's pictures and all of those ads have been faceless picture ads.

 

That being said, guys can also mislead with face pic ads.. infact, this board saved me from an session with someone who has been using the same pictures for over 10 years and now looks nothing like the pictures.

 

Over all, a face picture is a must, I'll skip over ads with out them.. I might come back if the pickings are slim.

It's not an issue for me. However, I usually skip the ads without the facepic, unless there are very few escorts in a given city. Sometimes, a body pic is not enough to grab my attention so I never bother view the profile (and hence, will never read the text).

It depends. Just because someone is handsome... I don’t always find him attractive. On occasion some guys who wouldn’t necessarily be considered handsome... I find hella sexy. The option to see a face may or may not sway me to hire depending on other factors, like if I think his body is sexy.

 

With that said, I think in general I don’t hire a guy with faceless pics, unless I can verify the body pics he is using are his and with enough positive feedback to hire. There are a few lauded guys I hesitate to meet because I know they use fake pics. I’ve been burned by a few guys using fake pics. So it makes me wary.

 

I have a pretty photographic memory... so I can remember a body or body part just as much as a face. It helps me detect if the faceless pic is who they say they are. Google image search has made that a bit easier. There are four guys I’ve met (in my hobby career) I felt confident, enough with their body shots, that the faceless guy pictured, was indeed who I’d meet. All turned out to be great hires. One had no reviews, but the guy I found so sexy because I knew who he was from his porn scenes. There is another I’ve been talking to whom I recognized his body from porn almost immediately. The pics he sent verify at least that this guy is using the pics of who I thought it was lol! His interactions so far, I’m 80% certain the pics in his ad are him. I guess I’ll find out soon.

If an escort wants to hide his face/identity for w/e reasons in an ad, that's fine, as long as the pics on their ad are real &

they're willing to share/text me a face pic.

 

Posting fake pics, however, is FRAUD. An unforgivable offense I'm not willing to tolerate.

I have hired wo a face pic. Zach Brown NYC never shared face pix - very handsome guy. (Looks like he has stopped advertising).

Justin Baylor was another one 10 years ago. Super cute.

Recently withFabian Marco - though he offers to send face pix I didn’t ask. Regardless very handsome guy. I did get info on him from this forum.

In answer to the original question, I would only have a problem if I didn’t find the escort attractive. After he went to the trouble of sending me the picture, I would feel bad saying, “no, thanks” because I wouldn’t want to hurt his feelings.

 

Attraction is not just being handsome. There are handsome men who have pictures that scream ”look at me, I’m a tool and a douchebag!” (Well, to me they do) and that’s another reason I would turn someone down or pass by their ad.
