well, their incall rates are significantly lower, if that helps any....but I do understand your point.....maybe they don't want to travel to an outcall?

 

the first two are very new RM listings.....those two may not quite understand the market.....or may just be seeing if anybody bites at all at those rates....

 

the third guy does seem to be pretty optimistic (especially for Ohio and Kentucky), but has been a RM member for several months....maybe it's working out for him?

This was actually my point. In my opinion, they are all sub-par in attractiveness - yet their rates are Sky High - which made me ask - are there guys out there actually paying these rates?

Yes they are paying this. I have and I would. Not regularly, but for the right escort, I wouldn't hesitate. I also wouldn't say that it is a "new trend". I've been seeing pricey climbing for quite awhile.

 

That said, there are ways of paying less and keeping costs down. Sometimes you have to think outside the box.;)

I usually meet with a guy for two or three hours.....after describing what I like (always being polite and respectful) -- and already knowing full well their hourly rate in the ad -- I'll still ask their rate (for time only ;)) for the two or three hours......no surprise that it's often at a bit of a discount over the flat hourly rate......sometimes not, but it's appropriate to ask in cases of multi-hour meets....you don't have to get into a haggling match....take it or leave it......

Why is it such a surprise? The same conversation comes up here on a pretty frequent basis. Clients DO pay that....if escorts don't GET that kind of pay they change up their marketing or they disappear.

 

I've found it's very very tricky to discuss with someone what they are "worth"? So if I'm interested, I pay.

You are simply proving the "rule". It's subjective. You don't find them attractive, you would not hire them. Many others would.

300 is a pretty common rate now a days, 400 only if the guy is well known pornstar and in many cases clients won't pay that.

 

When was the last time you @InterestingGuy hired?

 

Where do you live? I guess not in Manhattan, LOL

Austin Wolf is asking $450 in, $500 out during his time in Chicago. I'm not biting, but I'm sure tempted.

 

I hired him 4 years ago when he charged 300 just like so many guys do now in NYC and DC.

 

Connor Maguire tried charging 400 around the same time and had to lower his rate back to 250 and 300... I don't know how much he charges now or even if he still escorts.

An advertiser with a ridiculous rate is no different than a street beggar willing to work for food. They have no intention of being hired just like they have no intention of taking a job offer. It's the temporary attention which is all they are after.

Now that's an interesting theory that I haven't heard before. These young men pay for an ad, put their pictures out on the internet where they will live forever, and it's all for a little bit of attention? From whom? If no one is contacting them they don't even get the pleasure of turning guys away.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, we are not commodities. If you like someone and you like the price they are offering, then feel free to hire them. Don't? Then don't hire them.

 

Most of the complaining I see on this board concerning pricing is all along the lines of "Why don't all advertisers charge $250 / $300 to make it easy for us???? Every advertiser needs to cater to my needs on my pricing terms rather than what is best for their business" :rolleyes: Again, we aren't commodities but thanks for equating us to oil. It makes me feel more valuable certain times of the year.

I think they don't know the market. Give it a couple weeks. After a disappointing response they will be down to 250.00 or 300.00
