I watched "Maurice" yesterday for the first time - it's on youtube for free. collinaustinbrady Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Great topic! I’m surprised “Fortune and Men’s Eyes” hasn’t been mentioned. Danny-Darko and Rod Hagen 1 1

When Video Rental Stores were really getting popular, employees often received a few shelves to display their favorites and recommendations for a month. When I was 10, 11, or 12, I remember frequently walking by the shelf, presumably assembled by one of the few openly, or at least somewhat openly, gay men in North Dakota around 1983, displaying this movie. I didn't know exactly what was going on, but innately I could sense that if I rented it my life would change. I did not. Too scared Edited July 26 by Rod Hagen Danny-Darko, thomas and MikeBiDude 2 1

Too scared That’s understandable, Rod. I saw it for the first time a while ago. It was a VHS copy I obtained from the public library, an interlibrary loan. I’m not sure where I got my nerve. I’ve always liked it and also that provocative cover. Rod Hagen 1
