Gone but not forgotten

The events of the last week have gotten me thinking about the history of M4M. I realized that there are a fair number of former posters who never post here anymore, including some guys who posted here quite frequently, at least for a while.

 

It's weird, kind of, getting to the point where you feel like you are starting to get to know someone through his posts and then he just disappears. Some of the guys I remember who I don't think are still around include:

Matt and Stephan may have posted in the threads devoted to HB. I'll have to look. I don't think either posts much anymore, although I could be wrong. I don't recall having seen anything by nice guy recently.

 

But maybe more of the guys that I listed are still around than I thought. :-)

I'm always hesitant to post in threads like this. People mistake it for management stepping in.

 

Matt/Vancouver has most certainly posted recently. Have you already forgotten the great Vancouver Tsunami Auction?

 

Stef LaCoste posts mostly in the travel forum, but he occasionally bops in here as well.

 

As with any community, some people move away and others move in. And some just change their names (and think we didn't notice ;-)).

Your posts are always welcome, to me at least. I had forgotten about the Tsunami thread and clearly a few of the others I mentioned are around as well, at least occasionally. I'm sure I forgot lots of other guys who used to post here and don't anymore.

 

A few I'm sure of :-) that are missing in action are Will, Les, Jiz and Albinorat. I have to admit that I was half-hoping that at least some of the guys that I mentioned might be lurking about and that a thread like this might convince them that it's time to say hello again.

Thanks for mentioning me in your list, BG...Well, I am actually still very much around. I visit the site every day, lurk in the MC and post once in a while. I now live in Europe. My BF of almost 3 years put an "almost" halt to my erstwhile active "client career"...I have met some escorts recently, but I can't remember when I submitted my last review...Love changed the slut in me!

Actually, there is a weird symbiosis between the two sites.

 

It’s true that I had grown bored with the same old same old in the M4M message center. I’ve never been big on the “French Fry” threads, and the constant sermonizing and etiquette lectures every time something got heated, just became tiresome.

 

Then someone sent me the link to Escort Speak, and as hardcore as some of it can get, I found myself laughing at posts again. Yes, it’s often cruel laughter at some other cyber-personality’s expense, but this is internet fluff, not life and death.

 

The interesting part is that you can’t read that board without renewed interest in this board. And if you’re at all honest, you will admit that Escort Speak has breathed some much needed life into the M4M board.
