FYI to Gar.... I used the glaze from the Apricot chicken recipe for my Turkey this year, It is carmelizing nicely and smells yummy. It is stuffed with cornbread and raisin stuffing. Gotta treat myself well since I am dining alone... But looking forward to the meal.... Bon appetite ya'll........

I survived. My sister, her cousin-in-law, and me doing most of the work while the rest of the family lounged watching football and occasionally crowding the kitchen to see what was going on. My niece (already a Doctor Who fan) put a bright spot on the evening by telling me she's now also a Star Trek fan. I didn't get much chance to discuss it with her, but I look forward to it. She said "Star Trek Beyond" was what tipped her - while I did see the movie, the proliferation of theaters with bars means that I don't really remember it. I'm waiting for HBO.

It is also On Demand for $5, could be fun watching it with the niece if you all are still hanging out.

Glad you survived your thxgiving din-din unscathed. Now, time to workout that turkey by hinging on good sci fi!

We had a good one, dinner at my folks' with the boys and my brother's family. My oldest broke his leg playing, ahem, basketball this fall, but he's doing fine. Still, that kept him from shooting hoops with his brothers and cousins, so he sat with the grown-ups after dinner and talked with us. I went into the kitchen to get a drink and my sister-in-law came in and remarked on how mature he is. He started seeing a great girl this semester and I think they talked three times yesterday, plus texting. Breakfast this morning with my three all at the table gave me a good feeling. We are all going to a play in DC this evening and have friends coming over to watch the Navy game tomorrow. Then he goes back to school Sunday. Making the most of the time we have.
