He asked a few questions about his mom, made some comments about all of us being bisexual to some degree and we went out to breakfast.

Congratulations. It must be a relief to have that done with, especially with his positive reaction. You may have mentioned this on prior strings, but may I ask what your relationship is to his mom at this time? Divorced? Widowed?

Your a brave man, and it sounds like your son has inherited that trait. It must be such a relief to have taken that step. Congratulations. All the best to you both.

Married for 44 years and still together. I came out to her in January of this year. Apparently, she is handling it okay. We love each other, enjoy our life together and see no reason to change it. She's my best friend. I am not looking for a new life, just more honesty in the one I have.

Good for her. I'm not sure why it would make that much of a difference for her to know you're bisexual. Now if you were gay, then I could understand her being upset, because that would imply you didn't have the hots for her. Would it make any difference to you if she were to tell you she was bisexual? I must confess that I, personally, have a very difficult time relating to bisexuality, because I have no sexual interest whatsoever in the opposite sex. I wish there were some way for me to understand sexual attraction to women, but I don't think it's possible. It's pretty hard-wired in me. It's hard to even imagine how different my life would be if I were bisexual (or straight). I think most people would have to feel a certain degree of jealousy towards bisexuals' ability to find sexual attraction in a person of either gender.

I am enjoying the fact that I told you so. I told you so. I told you so. Congratulations on climbing that particular mountain. I guess your son was smart enough to know that no matter who else you love, your love for him is incalculable. Now you are assured that it is a two way street.

Yes! You did tell me so!!!! (Although it is very declasse' for you to mention it). I know his tears were shed in sympathy for my struggle, not for loss to himself. Kow, thanks for telling me so! XO

I don't have any desire to be actively bisexual (I actually have a small 'bi' streak, but have no interest in cultivating it). But I find bisexuality incredibly sexy in other men.
