I am! I realize DC is now a GLUTTED and overserved market and when Congress leaves for its' 7 week recess and any local with money heads to the beaches it makes it extremely competitive when so many escorts and porn stars tour here. Thus DC is now a buyers (renters...lol!) market and the clients are taking advantage of this and trying through collusion to drive the rates WAY DOWN.

To those of you not in DC....Is this the case in your area as well??? I am getting several inquiries daily for $50-$100 calls. Fortunately my financial position allows me to not go low as I have plenty of money and I escort from a position of power. I do it for the kicks and the ego! lol. It is fun! I no longer take any bullshit from anyone. I only see the nice clients who treat me with the respect I deserve from 23 years at the TOP of this business. I no longer tolerate being Rodney Dangerfield ("I get no respect...no respect at all") LOL!!!

However I feel for the younger escorts who have to give in if they are going to work at all. It seems we have numerous escorts still listing between 275-350 an hour as a rate but when my clients call them and offer them a hundred bucks they take it no questions asked so the posted rates are not real.

They are like rack rates at a hotel with a few exceptions. What most cheap clients do not realize is the the quickest way to kill an escorts hard on is to be CHEAP with him..........

I blame the apps like grindr and scruff. It seems as if guys all over the nation who used to hire only the best are now electing to just have sex with any willing person regardless of looks or conditioning or size. Sex just simply for the sake of sex............ The high end upscale male escort seems to be not only a TARGET now but an endangered species with cheap sites and free hook up sex being the weapons of extinction.

I am also seeing a HUGE increase in drug calls (partying) which disgusts me and reminds me of all the friends I have lost to illegal or prescription drugs.

I don't party and I am proudly clean and sober. Lastly........on my summer tour I had an incredible number of inquiries asking to pay with credit cards or pay pal. What a joke! Who pays an escort with plastic and leaves a paper trail and an electronic record ? It would seem the smart money would be on "smart money". Face it folks, we live in a lousy economy with immediate prospects looking even dimmer. I realize the escort industry is specialized work-- however-- anything advertised over $250.00 seems out of touch with most folk's means. Look at it this way-- if you make $50.00 an hour at another job that translates into five hours of work pay for one hour of escort action. It would seem that given all these circumstances $200-250 an hour would be reasonable to advertise with the notion that if a client determines more "regular" appointments it could be in the $175.00 range. By way of comparison shopping, the industry standard certainly wouldn't suffer if someone were to lead the pack at $175.00. Perhaps volume would increase with a more friendly and flexible demeanor on the fee end.
