Did some research, hoping to find that one could get cold sores only if the receiver has a break in the skin while swapping spit with a carrier with an active sore. Opens up a new vista on my thoughts about kissing. Yes, that's the research I mentioned above aligns with Tassojr's post. However, I have 3 siblings all in our late 50s or early 60s. Both of our parents had cold sores, knew they were contagious and were careful not to kiss us when they had one. So, based on our n = 4, wonder if while its most contagious just before an outbreak, its still not highly contagious. Of course, kisses from our parents didn't include tongue but I've kissed a lot of other people where it did. If carriers are as numerous as 50% of all people in the US, surely I've had my tongue in carriers' mouths and vice versa by now.

 

Still confused about this: If at 63 I've never had a cold sore, it seems safe to assume that I don't have the virus. Yet public-assistance here states that one can have it dormantly even though one has never had an outbreak.

I disagree with the negative reviews about Chris and do not find them credible. I spent a weekend with him and had an amazing time. Chris is super good looking, polite, muscular, and smart. He was an excellent companion, attentive to me, and a real gem of a man. Chris is very polite, funny, and a joy to be around. When we went to the pool at the hotel we were staying at many people were checking him out. I consider him perfect and give him many many stars. I cannot say anything negative. Not necessary! Some may have herpes and no sores and still pass it on! What I heard from many that many clients have very poor oral hygiene!

I said I'd file a report, but after I wrote one, I realized it sounds too much like a review. So I'll just say that the positive comments about his physique and warm personality are correct (as far as I could judge in 1 hour). The only nits I would pick are these: he chewed gum the whole time (a bad nervous habit!) and he is very fastidious, to the point that some activities clearly make him uncomfortable. But he did text some sweet words of farewell after I left, which was rather charming.
