Too soon for an overnight?

I just contacted an escort who has become quite popular over the last year. I was excited that he got back to me so quickly, and I told him that I would like to spend two hours with him. Because I have read that he is somewhat limited in the things he will do, I intentionally decided that it would be wasteful for me to spend more than 2 hours since I am not a rich guy , and past reviews showed he only does a few of my favorite acts. Surprisingly, the escort kept insisting that I should consider spending an overnight with him. This guy has gotten some good reviews but I feel odd doing an overnight with a guy I have never even spent an hour with.

Because this guy is super popular, I feel that if I don't do an overnight, I will never get to book an appointment. But at the same time, I worry that I will regret booking an overnight with a guy that I won't like well enough to spend over $1400, or that won't end up doing g stuff like French kissing or other stuff that's important to me. He quickly told me he will do all this stuff, but past reviews say otherwise. Am I making a mistake ?

Two hours max. Make sure he agrees with what you like to do, and prepare to be disappointed. He's clearly in it for the money, and thus upselling to an overnight.

The last time I did an "upsell" from two hours to an overnight, I got burned. Well, only first-degree, but it taught me something.

You might be better off finding someone who advertises and reliable delivers what you're looking for, and, even then, start with one or two hours.

Think with the Big Head, jock ... and welcome aboard!

Don't buy the overnight until you've met first and established a connection, especially with the yellow flag mentioned in previous reviews. IMHO, he's a little aggressive to up-sell an overnight for a first-time client.

Don't let someone pressure you into something you aren't comfortable with. And if he refuses to see you for two hours... move on. There are other hot guys willing to see you who will do exactly what you want or need.

I will say I have met some guys for overnights the first time and it worked well (i.e. AJ Irons, Kristian Elix--our 1st meeting was for a weekend). However, as a general rule, i try to meet them for an hour or two before I do an overnight.

Remember that you are the client, the customer purchasing the product/service. You get to decide how much time you think is enough. I would not recommend booking an overnight with someone you haven't spent time with before. Two hours is often optimal. How much money are you willing to risk? Even if the guy is fantastic, how much stamina do you or he have? How much per hour do you want to pay to watch him sleep? If the escort is willing to book overnights only, I would definitely pass.

I have done an initial overnight twice:

  1. Someone I had chatted with on AOL for five years before we met. He's stopped escorting, and we still keep in touch.

  2. An upsell who did nothing overnight, and then had the gall to call me when he was short of money on the west coast.

And that's all I have to say about that. So it goes.

  • 1 month later...

Anecdotally, only once have I felt slightly "pressured" by an upsell pitch for an overnight on the first meeting. I counter-offered with an increase from 2 to 4 hours, for dinner and a show, and that was acceptable to him. We ended up having a great time, a great dinner, I learned so much about him.

Inconsistencies in reports of what escorts do typically fall under 3 categories:

1. Escort is open to more after getting to know a client, whether due to basic comfort or feeling that the person is relatively safer to do things withe a given person. e.g. Some people will get fucked by anyone, some people will only get fucked if they are X% confident the person is negative for all or certain STIs. I am not here to argue over whether that is "logical," just stating that different people have different risk thresholds.

2. Escort does more things with people he is more attracted to. Usually less of an issue, oddly enough, with the "straight" ones.

3. Some clients don't try or seek to do everything, and what is listed in the review is a list of what they did, not the escort's limits.

I suppose there's one more:

4. Escort will only do certain things for more money, that price sometimes varying with (1) and (2) above. So he might say he's willing to do X but it will turn out at appointment time that that is for extra. "Chris from Baltimore" back in the Gaiety days was notorious for this.

Maybe you need to move on and hire someone else. We hire among other things to avoid drama not to get more of it.

Great list, though I'm surprised by your mild surprise in #2. If a guy identifies as straight and has decided to do this work, he's already made the mental leap to sexual activity with another male. Since he isn't attracted to male forms, one body is just like another to him. At least, that's been my extrapolation of how the logic would go in such situation.

I would think the trick in those situations would be finding an escort who honestly identifies as straight and is able to fully perform. As I've mentioned in another post, sexual orientation is separate from sexuality activity and romantic orientation, though they frequently align in many people. The latest research supports the reality of a straight sexually & romantically oriented male being able to engage in homosexual activity.

Guys, I totally forgot that I never reported back on what I did, but let me say I followed the advice that most of you offered and I told this very popular escort that I appreciate his promises to perform acts that prior reviewers said he was unwilling to perform, but that I would only book for a 2-hour appointment. I remained firm. To my surprise, he agreed to the two hours, and before the first hour was complete, he more than proved to me that he was willing to do stuff that others said he wouldn't do (I could be wrong, but he either really wanted to earn the money , or he is an escort who makes exceptions depending on his level of attraction. I'm a former tennis pro who is still in decent shape in my mid40s,) so I extended another two hours. He got better and better, and I ended up with an overnighter, by MY choice, and he even gave me a $200 discount. It worked out in the end, but only because you guys told me to take control of the situation and not let him dictate the terms. Thanks guys!

On a few occasions, I have encountered escorts with inconsistencies for another reason, or perhaps this is a combo of 1 and 3: They actually will happily engage in all kinds of activities (at no extra charge), but do not advertise it because they are concerned that some/many potential clients will immediately look elsewhere if the escort does not present a boilerplate vanilla image of "Safe Only," "Kink: No," 'Rimming: Only Receives," and so on. Just my additional anecdotal observation.

And it is a good one! I have a thing for a guy's natural scent. Most guys do not like that. I also have a thing for a guy who is all pumped and sweaty from the gym. Can't tell you how many escorts have told me that they LOVE that but don't advertise as such because they are afraid they will turn off potential clients.

A recent example is an escort who states in his ad that he carries a strong musty scent. In the following thread, that is discussed in a less than favorable light: http://www.companyofmen.org/threads/411-on-porn-actor-bennett-anthony.115027/#post-1107017

Having hired him and requested the strong scent, I can attest he is not lying. However, having met him in a social setting I can attest that he dresses well and showers and can carry not a hint of natural scent.

There is often more to a story than meets the eye.

lots of advice here. i think its best to hire hourly first so you know if you are compatible and what the guy will do.

i have hired overnight without doing an hourly, some were very good some were not. I think the first time i hired overnight initially the

guy met me in Baltimore at Grand Central came in and gave me the biggest french kiss right there at the bar. He whispered something in my ear

like lets let them think we know each other very intimately. Wow that was hot and the rest of the night was just as good. He left with my underwear on his head. Ha.

That being said some other initial overnights didnt turn out so well.

Hey jock/newbie congratulations you handled this situation like a total pro. I've been hiring for nearly fifteen years and couldn't have done better myself, even considering all my experience. Welcome to the forum and now that you're a pro good luck and have lot's of fun hiring.

P.S. Lot's of good advice here. Just an addition. I have never liked the idea of one hour appointments but also don't particularly like the idea of overnight. I prefer sleeping alone and all nigh continuous sex isn't about to happen with most guys especially with ones my age. I personally have found hiring for a meal and a couple of hours play time TWICE more satisfactory than one overnight -- the cost is about the same.

Love how this turned out! Maybe he can become your regular and you don't have worry about this type of scenario for a while.

I would also add another item: when writing your RM profile (for example) you want to communicate directly and concisely in a compelling manner to your potential clients. To avoid a TL; DR situation, you choose your words carefully and that means some details might get missed. It's always (at least in my book) acceptable to talk in greater detail once you've decided you're interested in hiring someone.
