Since I'm not a bottom, it's a definite turnoff for me.

On a personal note, you've now got me questioning my avatar on this site. I've used it for many years and it does represent my screen name. But, is political correctness now dictating that I should change because I may be offending someone?

Political correctness? F*ck you. :p

Seriously a major turn-off as it's unprofessional, and unruly for an escort to represent himself in a foil manner such as giving the FU finger.

Gives a negative vibe that he's full of himself in a unpleasant way, and could demonstrate such negativity when meeting him in person if he's representing himself already having a bad attitude such as in his ad. :(

Turn off here as well. I want to know that the guy who I'm hiring is a decent guy. If I were to be in the mood for a guy with an "attitude" I would want to know that it's all an act by a guy who is really a nice guy. Actually, the attitude thing does not really do it for me so I would pass on this dude if that's what he is trying to sell. Actually he does absolutely nothing for me so I would pass with or without the finger.

In my specialty knowing that your partner has a genial disposition is what makes you submit to, and have trust and confidence in him. So all the more so from my perspective that I need to know with whom I am dealing.

In any event, I say that this guy needs to take a course in marketing 101.

C'mon, it is a turn off but it is not a big deal. I do not think we are even close to be offensive or politically incorrect. Maybe decades ago showing the finger was some kind of a provocative gesture, but nowadays, it is just a common place that makes you intellectually unattractive. That is where the turn off is.

latbear, whatever OneFinger and you call it, I am slightly less interesting in hiring the escort, or reading OneFinger's posts. Yes, it is not a big deal.

On the lighter side, perhaps it's time for OneFinger to change his avatar if he has been using the same one for ten years. Just a suggestion.

In general a turn off.

As to your avatar, if you are trying to give a "i don't give a fuck" attitude, by all means continue. The avatar is confrontational and in the years I have seen it, it made me very unlikely to interact with you. It has nothing to do with political correctness, it has to do with message being sent.

Thanks for writing what I thinking, but did not have the balls to ,post myself.

When I ask an escort to send a selfie to confirm identity, I tell them to either shoot me a peace sign or the finger for confirmation:). So far none have chosen the latter, but if/when I get one I figure I can figure out whether they're an asshole when we talk to set up.

...The thought of not reading someone's post, simply because of their avatar is, well, baffling to me. I care about what someone writes, not some arbitrary decoration. I would encourage Onefinger to decorate as he see fit and post what he wants to.

I see, so the avatar of a swastika and the avatar of a rainbow colored fluffy bunny are just decorations which carry no other intent. I would also encourage Onefinger to decorate as he sees fit and post as he sees fit, but if he is going to ask about his avatar as a topic, as he did, he should expect a truthful opinion. It has been his avatar for years and is only a topic now as he brought it up.

BVB, to your avatar, my guess is that initially people will see you putting out a different message with the avatar you have chosen, than if you had chosen a shirtless picture of Heath Barkley ,played by Lee Majors, from the Big Valley. 36639c06a293c7b7e641ff78516a9aaa.jpg

It's a turn-off for me. It comes across as very juvenile with "tude." Apparently, it has its appeal in some quarters or they wouldn't advertise it.

Wow Mr. Kow, Swastikas, really? That's quite a leap. LOL...Feel free to add me to your ignore list. I would consider it a badge of honor...

Enjoy the rest of your Easter. :D

Not necessarily. It could just mean the man's an idiot, and/or that he really has a bad attitude. As for OneFinger's avatar, obviously a member's avatar gives a sign of what he wants to project. My avatar is obviously meant to signal that I'm proudly gay, always horny, and hung like a horse :p! Your avatar gives off the signal that you don't care what other people think. If that's the signal you want to portray, keep your avatar...

I should put an avatar up.

Careful - you will now be judged and scrutinized for whatever you put up. I just got my first hate PM for having a puppy on my avatar with no collar.

I trust you gave that PM the respect it deserves.

Please feel free to put me on your ignore list. Doesn't bother me a bit since I DON'T value your opinion. In fact, I'll probably keep my avatar just because of your post. It certainly fits my feelings towards you.
