We have come to that time when it’s necessary to make more definite plans for the festivities. Specifics will not be posted here, in order to preserve confidentiality. Therefore, if you are serious about attending this year’s events, please send me an e-mail (if you know it) or “private message” with your return e-mail address so that I may send you the pertinent information as it unfolds. Your confidential information will be respected, as I expect mine to be.

The first order of business will be dinner reservations, followed by RSVP’s for the pool party at a residence. If you will be bringing a “guest”, please tell me who. That information will also be kept confidential, unless you say otherwise. Attendance by escorts (by themselves or as someone's "guest") is greatly encouraged.

If you will be coming from out-of-town and need accommodations, you should arrange for those ASAP, if you have not already. There have been several suggestions put forth in the previous thread concerning possible accommodations.

Again, the dinner will be early Saturday evening, April 30, and the pool party will be in the afternoon of Sunday, May 1.

If you have any questions, please ask in your e-mail or message. I look forward to renewing acquaintances and meeting new ones! Come and enjoy!:)

Just for fun, checked my 2 hotel partners website and priceline...and surprisingly this far ahead, the same 2 hotels I stayed at previously for $70/night last year is renting for $299 that weekend. From my research, this year seems to be the most expensive weekend hotel-wise since I went back in 2013. Excuse me if it's been mentioned already but, does that happen to be the weekend of Coachella or anything else? I don't know how the gay resorts are looking, but it seems most of the hotels will be at full occupancy, even Friday and Sunday which are usually cheaper have the same prices...which will certainly factor in whether I'll be attending this year.

No, Coachella is earlier.

Stagecoach Music Festival is held in Indio, CA from Friday, April 29 to Sunday, May 1. Stagecoach is a county music festival headlining some of the industry favorites such as Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Emmylou Harris, The Band Perry, Little Big Town and many others. http://www.stagecoachfestival.com/festival-info/

Coachella draws around 90K while Stagecoach draws about half that – 45K. I’m sure Palm Springs hotels get booked up for this event as well. I’ve never attended to the music festival but from the line up, I am sure it has a loyal following.

That explains it. It probably also explains why Expedia quoted me a price $200 higher for arriving Friday instead of Saturday.

Still really considering it. Someone on here offered to chat on the phone about details so I'll probably take him up on that tomorrow.

Will be the most random, out of box thing I've ever done, if so ;)

Will there be a list of escorts attending that are not yet.. entertaining? :) Asking for a friend.

Klifhangar,

I am in the same boat. I just recently came out at age 72, but I wouldn't miss this opportunity to meet some of the people on this forum, although I'm scared. Come on Dude, just jump in and do it. Be random! Be out if the box! Breathe! Live! I'll see you there.

Ha, we'll see. And I recognize the expression in your avatar, btw.

I was married my entire adult life and I still have the kids. I don't get out much. However, I have been trying to take vacations away from the full time job plus full time parenting gig. It might be fun... we'll see. Airline tickets are still relatively inexpensive.

Finances are almost always a consideration. Don't look at the sum total for the event, look at it as one less Latte a day for a year. Good for the waistline. Good for the heart and a year's worth of caffeine in 3 days.

Very much looking forward to Palm Springs. My date and I are as excited as we can be. My first Daddys' event was the DC forum this year and attending that has made me feel more at ease about Palm Springs. My date that weekend is an exclusive so I won't be available for "personal" meetings but I hope to meet many of you and network and possibly schedule some future meetings. I found out at the DC forum that it is awesome to put a face on a guy in person who I have read their posts on daddys' and they have read mine. I am sorry that I haven't been posting on here lately but I have been very busy. It seems that just in the last month or so we are beginning to recover from the devastating consequences of the Rentboy raid. Many of my clients who had disappeared and went into hiding are gradually getting back into the game. It is my opinion that Rentmen.com has done an AMAZING job picking up the slack. Much of my "off" time has actually involved trying to discreetly promote the site on the apps and in other places to push and drive guys there so it can gain some visibility. Anyway nice to be back.... Michael Wayne (MIKEY) DC!!! @ www.rentmen.com/magicmikeydc

Mike Look forward to meeting you as I have always been entertained by your posts. This post is much more subdued and less self promoting than some of your posts. I know that sounds like a dig but it is not intended that way. This post definitely has a nice, professional and social vibe to it. If you see me in PS buy me a drink. I will be the big guy with an empty glass asking people to buy me a drink.

Mikey, I won't be at Palm Springs but it was a delight to chat to you over lunch in DC. I know, I didn't call you! My week got complicated in DC with all the snow, so I didn't call anyone. It was great to meet you in DC, and I would hope to meet you again!
