Yes, I always miss the reviews while Daddy takes a break

Yes, I strongly encourage vacations and I force even my most dedicated and diehard employees to take theirs.

Yes, Hooboy was neurotic about posting reviews (I think it was even 7 days a week back then?)

Hooboy did post reviews seven days a week. Occasionally the picture of a relatively new escort with a weekend review caused an overwhelming response. I am thinking specifically of the photo of Kristian Elix in early 2002. I hired Kristian very quickly for an overnight. (Back than Kristian lived in Texas, not LA).

To counter kjun, Hooboy may not have taken official "vacations," but was away from the U.S. a lot, which sometimes caused problems with posting reviews.

I don't think Hooboy knew what "vacation" meant. Unlike Daddy, he could never have stayed in one place for more than a short time, and he always took all his work with him. We were constantly treated to his often hilarious narrative of travel disasters with lost/broken/stolen equipment, inability to find Internet connections, etc. He was like a fireworks display, that burned out spectacularly. Daddy is much more rooted in place, and he understands that he needs to take breaks to rest and recuperate if he wants to keep the site running smoothly.

Lucky and I organized the first Palm Springs Weekend in February of 2005, and at the dinner we toasted Hooboy and wished him a long life. Like WilliamM, it was a terrible shock for us to wake a couple of weeks later to news of his death.

I've been around long enough to remember Hooboy. I remember reading his adventures thinking oh lawdy this guys a hot mess, I wish I could meet him. Sadly I never did but reading about him sure is a hoot!

Hugs,

Greg

What ever happened to Lucky? He was a constant back in the day. Did he just leave the room or did he leave the planet

He is no longer active on any site. Although he occasionally looks in to see what is happening, he has moved on.

Any chance of a return? Many things have changed, perhaps he would find the Political Forum stimulating.

I think he was the one who advocated for the politics forum. I could be wrong. My mind is fuzzy right now.

OK, I'll ask the obvious question. What the hell is his ID on the other site? Didn't know he was still posting there.

No, he was 'Lucky' there too, and as Charlie says above, he is no longer active either here or there.

The "other site" has a name too embarrassing to even say here and it's the reason I rarely go there. Somebody could PM the name, I suppose.

Would you, @azdr0710 , please?

Done. Now if you will excuse me, I must douse myself in Lysol.

I find it impossible to believe that anyone would fault Daddy for taking time off. :( Obviously they haven't been following the site so they've missed all the hard work he does to keep us educated and up on the latest trends. Thank you Daddy for all you do. You should take as much time-off as you want as far I'm concerned! :D

It was actually the creation of the Comedy&Tragedy forum that he negotiated with Daddy.

I can not speak for everyone in the Comedy & Tragedy Forum, but I hope Lucky decides to return at some point, even if he just posts in that particular forum. He is greatly missed.

Cheers to that...
