I'm not sure if this is more appropriate for the lounge or here in the deli. Here it goes...

So in another post there was a bit of discussion about what a working guy might call his client (beyond the obvious, i.e. the guy's given name). It seems being called daddy is not so popular, surprisingly. Out of curiosity, what do you like to be called during bedroom time or even out of familiarity? What don't you like?

I've been called daddy. Not that I'm much older/younger than most guys I've seen. Mr. Gaite kinda sorta called me daddy. I told him I didn't mind it. Although he did remark I had the face of an eighteen year old. (Flattery will get you everywhere Mike. :D ) One variation, a retired escort, as a term of endearment, still calls me Poppa--insert my name here--, when we speak or see each other. I'm 10 years older than him. He's called me it in private and in public. Lord knows what anyone thinks whose heard him call me it out and about. :) I call him baby boy in private and only as a term of endearment.

Another guy calls me boy or his boy (the way he says it to me drives me absolutely nuts), and I refer to him as Coach in both a familiar and sexual way.

I'm not a big fan of being called Sweetie, but not too many throw the term my way anyway. Being called that in the heat of passion is a boner killer. :p I think any relatively sweet term during bedroom fun time, except maybe for baby or babe, throws me out of my game. I think those terms are fine for affection/familiarity but not sex.

If you're not my actual lover, don't call me lover... DAMN IT!!! Lol!

Depends on the circumstances. Someone had bad news for me when I texted to confirm---"Bud, I've got a problem". This is not the best way to ask someone to reschedule. This was someone whose Twitter feed has them reading semi-avant garde writing. If you want to be taken seriously, know when to use "Bud" as an opener.

I used to seek out daddies when guys in their 30's and 40's were older than me. Some clients may appreciate being called "daddy', but it doesn't suit me. I had a great masseur who labeled me "cub". It was the only time anyone ever used that term for me, and I think it worked because he felt it worked for me. Any name that has the feel of roleplay bugs me. Some very convincing tops have called me "bitch", "cunt", or "fuckhole" and made it work because they owned it ("my fuckhole"). Recently a top who is half my age repeatedly called me "boy", with an authority that felt completely natural.

Casually I prefer that they use my name or refer to me obliquely.

I prefer to be called "Amazing" but really, as long as it is a gutteral grunt and not a personal affront, I will answer to almost anything a sexy escort offers. If I do not like it, I ask that he not use it again and default back to Amazing

I think "Papi" is sweet. Although technically it means daddy, we, Latinos, use it interchangeably to refer to any male (regardless of age) fo whom we have affection...grandpas, uncles, dads, little kids, young men, male friends, and, of course, hot companions!

Hey, forum Papis! Feliz early turkey day! ;)

Well, Truereview, I am a Latino too, and I understand the various uses of "papi", but I just HATE it when a partner calls me that. HATE it, really hate it. It happened quite a bit in NYC. Fortunately for me, it is not usual in Europe, especially not in Prague, so I am happy. A papi, a papito? No way!

Some of the boys here call me "miláčku", which means "sweetheart" in Czech. I find it adorable, just adorable...

As a white guy I have experienced both reactions to being called papi. It's nice when it feels like he means You are sweet, I am enjoying fucking you. Not quite as nice when he is pretty clearly thinking I am fucking somebody from the Mesozoic.

There's a common stereotype of a more feminine type of Latino (or a Latina) screaming out 'Ai Papi' which sets my teeth on edge.

Gman

(Butching it up & delivering the following in a stentorian tone)

AY, PAPI! ;)

If that doesn't interfere with his hard-on, then it doesn't interfere with mine.

as a big guy, I've gotten tired of being called 'Big Guy'

There is only one working guy who addresses me as big man or my big man. I do the same to him. He's about an inch or two taller than I. We both use it as a term of endearment. He once told me that he couldn't get into any type of serious relationship with a guy unless the guy was as big or physically bigger than he. So the big guy usage was from a place of affection not ever as general term like buddy.

I do understand the dislike of big guy nickname though.
