apologies for taking so long to respond to this thread! I am a new DC local so I would love to attend and will attend. I had a previously arranged engagement last year and missed he event- to my chagrin. For this year I already have a client who wants to go as my date. I think the event would be fun. Thanks to SUPER CUTE Evan for volunteering to host ........ I am a good escort but a terrible party planner but if I can do anything to help please let me know. What I will do is start talking it up with my clients who are OUT and willing to be seen in public at a gay event with escorts! lol......... so many are married and closeted and would never attend such a thing. This event is going to happen this year! I am working on organizing details. I am thinking sometime in the afternoon on Saturday the 16 in Dupont Circle.

All details should be finalized in the next two weeks.

Don't forget to plan something for Friday or Saturday night; maybe a trip to Secrets? :)

Hey guys are there any likely preferred hotels around the Du Pont Circle area that people would use. Times I've been in DC before I have stayed at Crystal City or Alexandria which are not exactly convenient to DP Circle!

Kimpton Hotels has a bunch of reasonably priced (especially at that time of year) hotels in DuPont Circle. I stayed at Hotel Palomar last year and loved it. I also wound up with a room big enough to fit half the lunch group for $160/night including parking. But it's location is a little less central than some others.

There's also the Rouge, Monaco, and one or two more in DuPont Circle. (The Rouge may be the most centrally located.) All Kimptons have free coffee/tea in the morning and wine tasting late on the afternoon in the lobby. Join their free Karma Club for perks, including some great discount deals.

For more info, search for the post (not a thread starter) Legendary Dave, who organized the last lunch, made when asked this question. Look for something posted in November or December of 2014. I think he also mentioned the DuPont Hotel, which isn't a Kimpton and is a little nicer, but was pricier enough that I dropped it from contention.

QTR - couldn't agree more. I love Kimpton bc of their support of the lgbt community and their pet friendliness. Along with all the complimentary stuff you mentioned, there is Free wifi if u sign up for their Karma Rewards. Some of the hotels are a little run down, but for the price, you can't beat it. I also like the lively decor. Most importantly (knock on wood), I've yet to experience less than stellar service at a kimpton. Their staff is genuinely good people.

In DC, I enjoyed the Donovan on 14th St, the Monaco, and the Palomar. Never been to Madera - couple of blocks from DuPont Cr- but Firefly, their restaurant is decent.

The Donovan is more in the central business district and is pricier. Madera is the one whose name escaped me.

Check the Plaomar at DuPont, Mike. Last time I hooked up with an escort he was hosting there, pretty nice hotel.
