Do you give a shit if the person you're hiring is a drug user?

I actually had one experience, several years ago, when the escort slipped something into my drink. One of the worst experiences of my life.

I'll bet that was GHB. A very popular aphrodisiac in the gay community. However, very easy to over dose.

I have twice hired guys in the last year who arrived at my place after having smoked marijuana. I'm sure they thought they were fine, but they acted like fools. .

I love some MJ here and there. However, I don't get carried away where I'm acting like a "fool". I save that for when I'm home alone with plenty of munchies and netflix or listening to music. ;)

I avoid meth users always. I've had to cut loose a couple very fun fuck buddies because their behavior was so scattered. Tragic that it's an epidemic in the gay community.

Yeah, "recreational meth use" is an oxymoron. I hear that and I'm the same way. Talk about a loaded statement.

I was referring to Mocha's friend specifically, not about drug use and recovery in general. In this instance, his friend is an addict. Mocha says he is a Meth and Hash "user"....so his friend is an active addict, and he needs help. Nowhere in his post does Mocha indicate his friend is in recovery.

Feel free to read something else into his post, but that's what I see...

Ok, let me get in here and clarify. Now, I'm not a therapist...but from my research of "faces of meth" and other websites, the man IS an addict. I was naive to believe it was just use...Until I invited him to my place.

He needed a "hit" at 11 in the morning. Although most times when I met him it was usually in his dimly lit apartment, or out walking around at night... under bright sunlight, his complexion looked very bad, and I could tell he had "meth face" or whatever. This is a guy who is actually quite attractive and has a smoking body, and is over 40 (but carries on like 30). He had similarities to a couple of well-known escorts/porn stars. But if only he didn't use meth so much, he'd be more attractive.

Oh my God, that's not an escort. Sounds like the girl in California who would shoot up her clients with heroine and killed a couple of them.

Ok, now you mentioned something I'm not familiar with....So far, I am aware of cocaine, meth (Some drug users have an abhorrence towards meth), heroine (not sure that's as prevalent in the gay community), Molly, X, and prescription drugs.

I happen to live in a city where the gay scene is so revolved around drugs, its EXTREMELY hard to come across someone who isn't on something. I don't even go out alone anymore because I might inadvertently end up meeting yet another druggie, and I'm so fucking sick of it. I've been exposed to more drugs living in Denver, CO than I did in Miami, Fl. Figure that out. And it's not just "where I'm meeting them". It's very prevalent.

I would prefer guys I meet whether escorts or not not use 'street' drugs. But I may be a hypocrite because I am a social drinker, and I don't mind that. I mean I have only had marijuana twice in my life-once when I was 16 and once when I was 28. Have I met guys who use drugs? Yes, and if it's more than marijuana, it makes me nervous. And if it's marijuana, I prefer they don't because I don't like the smell.

If I am meeting someone new -- I tell them upfront nothing more than 420 or poppers = cocktails okay in moderation )I will even supply)

Tina/Crystal/Their Cousin K and Brother H/PCP/Oxy/ Etc not welcome in my home -- and if that is what they need - to engage then neither are they!

And just as an overall observation, poster Aiden McGraw quoted by Mocha in the original post is absolutely right that NYC is awash in meth. Not just in socioeconomic strata where one might expect crack, but also among kids for whom, not that long ago, coke might have been the hardest thing most of them did. I hear reports of the same thing in DC and Atlanta.

Sadly South Florida is awash in Flakka....The latest designer drug.

"Flakka is not sold pure, but it is often mixed with other dangerous and poisonous chemicals. It is more potent than crystal meth and cocaine."

South Florida’s War on Flakka

by Melissa Ferguson on 06/15/2015

Flakka, a new designer drug, is wreaking havoc in South Florida and also hitting some other States in the U.S. It is most popular among teenagers and young adults and is highly addictive and easily accessible. The drug is marketed on the internet from China, where it is legal and classified as a research chemical, and arrives via mail to the purchaser. It is advertised as bath salts, spices etc. and is labeled “not for human consumption” to get around existing U.S. drug laws.

A $1,500.00 investment in Flakka has a street market return on investment of $50,000.00. Flakka, which is “la flaca” in Spanish, means pretty woman. It is also called “gravel” on the street and it can be purchased very cheaply for $5.00 a hit. The drug can be smoked, snorted, swallowed, injected or vaped. Flakka is not sold pure but it is often mixed with otherhttp://www.whitesandstreatment.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/designer-drugs-300x200.jpg?c0d5b2 deadly and poisonous chemicals. It is more potent than crystal meth and cocaine.

Physical and Psychological Effects of Flakka

The new laboratory created designer drugs are made from existing chemical structures. They are more potent and deadlier than in the natural form. The compounds in these drugs are harder to identify, making it more difficult for hospital emergency room personnel to treat a patient high on Flakka. The drug is also very hard to identify in drug-screening tests. Flakka is a synthetic drug made from the chemical alpha-PVP. It is akin to the amphetamine cathinone, which is a stimulant. The cathinone in Flakka causes the melting away of muscle tissue. The muscle tissue is then released into the blood stream and can cause kidney failure, resulting in the lifetime need of dialysis support. Flakka also creates sweating and hyperthermia causing the bodily temperature to rise, sometimes up to 105 degrees. It also elevates the heart rate and blood pressure.

Flakka floods the brain with dopamine and causes an intense feeling of euphoria. The drug blocks the dopamine from returning to its original neuron, making its euphoric effects last longer in the brain. First-time users will have symptoms that last from three to four days before they return to a normal state of mind. Repeated use of the drug will cause symptoms to last from 14 to 16 days before the drug wears off.

Flakka users will exhibit extreme aggression and psychosis. They will experience a mental state of delirium and display bizarre and uncontrollable behavior. Users are said to have super-human strength and it has been reported that up to five men have been needed to control and apprehend them. The victims of Flakka will exhibit paranoia, ultra-violent rage and running and screaming. The news in Florida reported a case of a twenty year old girl on Flakka who suffered symptoms similar to a stroke or brain bleeding. Now she cannot talk, walk or recognize anyone. Another seventeen year old girl was found naked and running through the streets covered in blood. She was screaming, “I am God, I am Satan.” It is also not uncommon for users of Flakka to hallucinate and think that they are being hunted down by other people or chased by wild animals.

The War on Flakka

Surrounded by water on three sides, Florida is a popular point of entry for cocaine, heroin and marijuana from Central and South America. The State has a history of having the highest drug abuse rate in the U.S.

Now Florida is being over-run by violent crimes being committed by people high on Flakka, according to local news. The Broward County Police Department is being equipped with field-detection kits and they are training special units to observe the behavior of people for symptoms of Flakka. Trained sniffer dogs are being used at U.S. Postal facilities. Flakka use is on the rise and police departments and medical professionals are warning the public about the dangers of this cheap and deadly drug. Eighteen recent deaths related to Flakka use have been reported and there have been one hundred and twenty-six deaths total since 2013. The War on Flakka is very real in South Florida and with the increase of this drug being seen in other States, it is crucial to educate the public on its risks and dangers.

Every time I (unfortunately) ended up with an escort who was high on something, it was a miserable experience with absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS. From bad personal hygiene to erectile dysfunction, to simply being nervous around a guy so wired you wondered if you would get through the encounter without violence.

I always tell a hire up front -- absolutely NO DRUGS of any kind will be tolerated and if I suspect them.. the date ends. Period.

At the risk of sounding too proper and correct... I don't like anything about drug abuse. I don't want to accept it by trying to ignore it or perhaps indirectly support the user by giving money that will end up in some drug dealer's war chest. I feel extremely sad around drug users. It is a scourge of not only the gay community but for our society as a whole. Families and careers are ruined. People lose money and homes. And then of course there is thier health, both mental and physical. Anyone abusing drugs does not need a client/escort....they need help.

If drug use matters to the escort, and considering a client on drugs might be dangerous, I would think it should matter, then the escort should ask ahead of time. Then the escort can decide based on what the client tells him. If the client says 'no' but has lied, and the escort discovers it when they meet, I think the escort is within his rights to cancel the appointment.

I don't think an escort should have to ask ahead of time. The MO should be no drug use, with the client disclosing ahead of time if it will be an issue.

That being said, I usually don't have someone ask me in advance of meeting him about doing it. It just happens once i am there.

I don't care if the other person is blitzed as long as he respects the fact that I am not partaking. It may not always be the most enjoyable experience for me, but I'm willing to tolerate it, and I've seen plenty of other escorts do the same.

I can see your point. And you are the escort. I'm not. So all I want is for y'all to be safe. And if this is a way you can be safe, then I'm all for it.

Which drugs matter to you? I will say, I don't consider alcohol, Dick pills, or weed as the "drugs" in question...as non will land a felony charge if caught. The other stuff, it's just fucking stupid to have around.

I don't like to be around people who use drugs for a number of reasons.

  • Some people may seem normal or in control, but they always eventually expose some unacceptable and damaging behavior.
  • I just don't need the risks in my life associated with a potential felony or misdemeanor arrest.
  • Even habitual steroid or marijuana users develop a persistent "charm" I associate with addictive behavior; they develop a skill for attaching themselves to friends and associates who can provide them with money to support their habits.

I'm wondering why the person who started this thread thinks it's ok to use a foul word in the headline.

I would be surprised if many or even any readers were concerned about earthy language in the forum, either in thread titles or in comments. I realise that the acceptability of certain words differs between countries, but to me the word in the title of this thread (in the context of this forum) is unexceptional.

It's the sort of thing that people with time on their hands worry about.

420 and poppers are OK with me. In fact, they're more than OK - I love them. I have even PnP'd - in the 70s. It was commonplace then and didn't have the stigma it does now. I have even thought about PnP and asked myself if I would do it now. I realized the cost/benefit analysis doesn't make sense for me. Even in the 70s, in my 20s, an episode of PnP was followed by two days of feeling like hell. Now, at my age, if I tried it, I would pay for that several hours of electric sex with a recovery period of four or five days. Doesn't make sense. I certainly wouldn't want to be around a tweaker or an addict. I also wouldn't want to be around someone who was PnPing because it would be hard to feel connected with him.
