Because of medical developments in the second half of 2014, I shall be delayed going to Paradise this winter. As a consequence, I shan’t be able to organize a weekend at the usual time – the last weekend of March. However, I plan to go for a month (or more) in April and into May. With the help of wonderful friends I have met through this site, we will be proceeding with plans for our annual weekend!:)

Therefore, I invite you to mark your calendars for May 2 and 3, 2015 for the 11th Annual Palm Springs Weekend. There will be a dinner on Saturday the 2nd and a pool party at my temporary residence in the afternoon of Sunday, the 3rd. And probably another dinner after the pool party. Other activities may occur. More details will be announced as they become available.

I look forward to seeing everyone. It has always been such fun! And I want to thank all those amazing friends from this site who have given me such wonderful support and love. God bless you.:D

The tradition continues!

What can I do to help?

Hello Oliver -

This is wonderful news as I thought it was probably NOT going to happen as we haven't heard anything, and it's funny how I was just going over this with Daddy last night of when the PS Luncheon was going to be. No one knew cause it was so up in the air, but now - I can rest easy as I was quite nervous possibly from the way things were looking that the 11th annual event was gonna be obsolete this year. YAY. Get a chance to meet the forum members and escorts on the west coast(My home state). :). Had an wonderful time at the one in DC, and look forward to seeing those in PS for sure. :)

Looking forward to meeting all of you in PS in May!! Booking my reservations now, so Oliver - Count me in to be there. :). Anything I can do to be of help Oliver - don't hesitate to ask. :). Be more then happy to help.

See you there!!!!

Hello Oliver, happy your recovery is underway and you will be able to get out in the world again.

With the change in date I will be able to attend this year's events, something I thought I would never be able to do.

I look forward to seeing some old friends and meeting new ones.

That made me laugh. Hope you'll be there, PK.
i am going to a conference in Boston for several days leading up to that weekend. Any other weekend and you could not keep me away. Now I am trying to rearrange my schedule to try and make it. Last year, same conference overlapped the PS event and when they changed the week for the conference my first thought was that I would be able to get to PS. Now the PS meeting is moved right to the same weekend Conference or hot men in speedos, it is a suprisingly difficult decision.

I'm so glad to hear Oliver that you will be making it to Palm Springs again this year. The May date will lend itself to a nice hot time in all the best ways. Can't wait!

How nice. No rules. Always loved the party, just hated the fact that there wasn't cum all over the pool. :-)

I hope to attend. It will be my 1st. Does that make me a virgin?

Working my schedule this next week to see if I can make it happen.

Any details when known on recommendations of where to stay, times within the dates to insure attendance is much appreciated?

Can some of us help in any way or make any donations to the cause that can help in any prep or party needs?

I would like to begin this post by saying how extremely happy I am to hear the Oliver is on the mend and will be making his annual Palm Springs pilgrimage albeit a bit later this year.

This will be my tenth year in attendance and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. It is such a great experience meeting longtime friends and making new ones each year. Hope even more of you will be able to make the trip this year.

For the last few years I have posted names of hotels some new guests might find interesting. I have stayed in all but two of the hotels listed and though that are all very different they are all (in my opinion) adequate or better.

The first group consists of gay oriented smaller hotels – most of which are clothing optional. As these hotels are smaller if you are interested in staying there you might want to consider making EARLY reservations.

The Hacienda at Warm Sands

586 Warm Sands Drive

Palm Springs CA 92264

http://www.thehacienda.com

760-327-8111

800-359-2007

This place is drop dead gorgeous. The grounds are beautiful and so are the rooms. The one major drawback is that it is EXPENSIVE. I have not stayed here but have visited on several occasions. Clothing Optional

Casa Ocotillo

240 East Ocotillo

Palm Springs CA 92264

http://www.casaocotillo.com

760-327-6110

800-996-4108

This place is quite small. It has nice landscaping and lovely rooms, additionally it provides off street parking. It is located a bit out of the way. I have stayed here Clothing Optional

INNdulge

601 Grenfall Road

Palm Springs CA 92264

http://www.inndulge.com

760-327-1408

800-833-5675

This is one of the larger gay resort hotels. I have not stayed here but would certainly not hesitate to do so. Clothing Optional.

East Canyon Hotel and Spa

288 East Camino Monte Vista

Palm Springs CA 92262

http://www.eastcanyonps.com

760-320-1928

877-324-6035

This is a converted motel. The remodeling was very well done. The grounds are not large but they are very pretty. I have stayed here. This place is a bit out f the way. Not Clothing Optional.

The next three places are not strictly gay oriented.

Garden Vista Hotel

1875 North Palm Canyon Drive

Palm Springs CA 92262

http://www.thegardenvistahotel.com

855-424-0555

This is a large motel. The rooms are a bit thread bare but adequate. I have stayed here several times. I planned to stay here again this year but had some difficulty working with the reservation person. The location is great and it is located next to Rick’s Restaurant – a great breakfast restaurant which has a goodly number of gay clients.

The Days Inn

1938 North Palm Canyon Drive

Palm Springs CA 92262

760-416-2333

800-916-4339

This is a typical Days Inn. The rooms are nothing to write home about but are certainly adequate. I am staying here this year. It is located on the opposite of Rick’s Restaurant from The Garden Vista Hotel.

The Alcazar

622 North Palm Canyon Drive

Palm Springs CA 92252

http://www.alcazarpalmsprings.com

760-318-9850

866-887-8730

This place has a very nice location near the center of Palm Springs. The architecture is something of a throwback to the old Palm Springs of the 50’ and 60’s. The rooms are very nice but not necessarily plush. I have not stayed here but have visited.

Palm Springs has several of the larger more upscale hotels such as the Hyatt and the Marriott.

I hope the information is some help and I look forward to seeing you all the first weekend of May.

I am no longer a Forum Weekend virgin, having attended the Chicago event last summer. As luck would have it, I will be arriving in PS for a conference on Saturday, May 2. I had already made plans to spend a lot of time with Mr. Dane Scott; now I will be able to add Forum events and renew friendships and make new friends.

One question: should I bring my work colleagues with whom I am traveling to the dinner? LOL!

Was wondering when something would be posted about the ps weekend! I am going to attempt to make this meet up. I always enjoy getting to see new people as well as meeting familiar faces for a great time.

Hey guys,

I spoke with Matt Sizemore today (manager of Helios), & he informed me that he would like to extend a discount to all of us involved in the weekend, that choose to stay at Helios.

(The rates vary according to room size, and to be honest my brain is FROZEN here in NYC!!!), so please feel free to call him on this # 310-721-5460, & mention "Ace".

Looking forward to what is ALWAYS one of the highlights of my year!

Posted

Well if Ace and Danny are going, then I'm going too!

Looking forward to seeing everyone who can make it from last year and hopefully some new faces too. I'll be in PS later this week so I'll just drop on by Helios on my way to the gay gym and sit on Matt's face...er...book a room.
