Meanwhile in Frisco...

Four Frisco men are accused of using a dating app to target, assault and rob gay men in a string of home invasions.

Nigel Garrett, 21; Chancler Encalade, 20; Anthony Shelton, 19; and Cameron Ajiduah, 18, were indicted Wednesday on federal hate crime and conspiracy charges in four home invasions in Plano, Frisco, and Aubrey.

According to the indictment, the men used social-media dating platform Grindr to pass themselves off as gay men, arranging to meet at the victims' homes in February and January. Upon entering, the defendants assaulted the victims, restrained them with tape and made derogatory statements about their sexual orientation, the indictment states.

Before you know it people will start to think Dallas and Houston are the same city

( Yes, lots of people actually believe that )

I've always been amazed by people who don't know the difference between Ohio, Iowa, and Idaho (all those similar vowels!).

You mean they're not? It's Dallas-Houston airport, right?

How could they think they were the same? I mean, Idaho with its tired and run down industry, Iowa's mountains and forests and Ohio's rolling agriculture and pig farmers.

Maybe he says something like generou$ for young men. There's also a lot of guys who say in their ads: "I already have a rich daddy".

Btw, a friend of mine used to offer money for fun on grindr and manhunt, his account kept getting reported by the would-be-escorts and cancelled.

Grindr is pretty much what craigslist used to be but you need to own an iphone.

Watch out of undercover cops on it.

Not sure why the "watch out" comment on there. Had nothing to do with escorts was about picking up minors on there. If you need to caution people to "watch out" I have concerns to the audience you serve warning. If you pick up a minor you deserve to pay the consequences

we should always "watch out", don't we?

Please read again the article again.

Nobody is saying sex with a minor ain't rape.

I had a strange hire via Grindr with a hot college senior who let me know that while he liked daddies they had to be generous and I was intrigued enough to invite him over. After I told him what I wanted to do he quoted $140 as his price. When he arrived he was wildly hot, a short ginger body builder. He asked to see my Truvada bottle and an ID so he knew it was my prescription, so he was smart and informed. We had not talked about my topping him but that Is what ended up happening and after cumming in him I sucked him off. He then pulled up a photo on his phone of him when he was a sophomore and had not started working out, a skinny waif. He asked if the photo looked familiar and it did. He let me know we had chatted back then but I told him he was too young and he was happy we finally met three years later

Sounds more hot than strange. ;) Nothing better than topping a gymnast built bottom (IMHO).

Beware, you're playing a dangerous game with Grindr.

From Grindr Support:

Our Review team must ensure that all profile content adheres to Grindr's Profile Guidelines, and certain terms, phrases and even photos will result in a ban from Grindr. Offering and soliciting money for personal services will result in a permanent ban.

When they get you (usually following a report) Grindr tracks your device ID and will block your profile. The only way to register again is to buy a new smart phone/tablet. I know a few guys who have been banned permanently.

To go way back to the original topic at the beginning of this thread....I have just been "permanently banned" from grindr (until i get the i-phone 8, which is pretty soon) because of one line in my profile: If you're hot AF, I'm gen.

I was having some good results using grindr for hiring for several months. Until 2 days ago I only used 3 approaches. If I saw a profile with a pic I recognized from RM, I sent a message asking the guy if was on there too. Always worked. If a guy was not a "professional" who advertised elsewhere, after a few messages I would tell him that I'm gen if I was really into him and I could tell that was the only to maybe make it happen. Very hit or miss! Or, if a guy I had some interest in initiated and asked me if I was generous, I frequently just went with it.

Until 2 days ago all mention of this topic, often explicit, was contained in messages, not in my profile. Literally within MINUTES of adding one (yes, I admit) thinly veiled reference in my profile, my account was suspended. Very shortly after I received an e-mail informing me that there was a ban on my account. I responded to grindr customer support saying that I would remove the objectionable line and I thought a ban was quite severe for a first offense.

The final verdict was that my attempt at solicitation violated their guidelines, and that the ban was permanent. I can't lie, in my head I was like "bitch, please...are you banning the other guys who I have seen doing the exact same thing?". Anyway, whatever, it's done now. I guess there really is someone monitoring content.
