I first thought it was a sort of "walk on" on the set by the Monkeys. I suppose one had to watch the show to see how they got on the island. I do not remember them having visitors.

Oh, the gang on the island was constantly besieged by visitors -- all of who managed to escape the island leaving Gilligan and company behind.

Yeah, every group of visitors had some selfish reason to keep the castaways' location a secret. It was really kind of cruel!

Yes Russian spies, the Mosquitoes, and i believe the Harlem Globetrotters all left them behind. As did a group of natives of a nearby island and a movie producer too. They should have built a hotel on the deserted triopical isle.
