Who do you think was the best-looking man who died before 1920?

(I chose this year so that the men who lived past 1920, like all those silent movie men, would be eliminated. Yes, this makes it tough!)

And don't just type a name; give a us a link to pictures/paintings!

I think the man to beat is Rupert Brooke:

Booth conspirator Lewis Thornton Powell. Hanged for his part in the conspiracy to kill Abraham Lincoln. Age 21 in this colorized pic.

I second that. After doing some research after reading "Manhunt", about the weeks-long search for John Wilkes Booth, I saw this picture of Powell and thought...damn!

I'm enjoying the suggestions and than all the while thinking ...

As if there aren't already so many unattainable men in the present, we have to troll the archives.

So I guess it's true: HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL.

Handsome but bat shit crazy! (But then again his aunt, Princess Alexandra of Bavaria claimed she swallowed a full-size grand piano made of glass!)

Thanks for the picture....oh, yes, quite crazy, like many in the Wittelsbach family (lots of inbreeding, I'm afraid), including, to a lesser extent, his most eccentric first cousin Elisabeth, Empress of Austria, commonly known as Sissi.....
