This comment prompted by several ‘glowing’ reviews today that left me puzzled as to what the escort actually did. (Does this seem to others to me to be happening more these days?)

All were versatile but no indication whether experience included anal much less top or bottom experience. Sometimes even oral was in doubt. I’m not asking for a porno short story – I don’t write those myself. But how about a little information content beyond one having the experience of a lifetime. As simple statement of what the escort is willing to do and a statment of your interests will allow us to draw an inference w/o a detailed blow-by-blow account, if that is not your style.

If you are contributing to help the escort, then help him by giving potential clients some reason to have interest in him. If you are contributing to help clients, then make it helpful and give them some reason to have interest in your review. If you are contributing for your 15 minutes then make it a positive 15 minutes and have your contribution appreciated.

Escorts if you are writing a deliberately ambiguous marketing announcement, know that the effectiveness is diminshed… unless ambiguity is your intent which I interpret as intent of limited performance (or less) on your part.

Let’s stop dumping chaff into the wheat. We are better served by real information content.

Good point TY -- I thought that the review form even "requires" some details and states that a general PR announcement is not accepted.

Possibly a few rejected reviews would solve the problem}(

Yeah, enough of that cajun food! Our friend kjun posted a review today that was really short......

I wish it would but it probably won't. Only the attempted reviewer would know so it might stop him but it wouldn't have any effect on the next guy. Some of that is probably going on now anyway without anyone else knowing it.

I've never heard that expression before. Could you possibly translate for this New York City boy? Is it anything like tossing expired Metrocards onto the subway tracks? :+

I totally agree with you. I only ask for a review when I feel business is slow. When someone says they are going to review me, I tell them..."make it juicy for pete's sake otherwise it diminishes my worth."

Like MOM used to say, "If you don't have anything good to say...."

Here are some samples of what to say...basically blow by blow accounts.

I suck cock and he sucked mine

I fucked him hard and fast(or slow..the poor bastard.)

I got fucked and it HURT so good.

I ate his ass.

I kissed him and he fucking slurped my tongue.

This is basically what Rick Munroe does...but change all of the above to...I suck cock...I suck dick...I suck penis....I suck face...oh and did I say that I sucked cock....Ok ...I'll do it again. I suck cock.

so what else is important....I guess if your into kink...but hey for some guys anal sex is kink.

Get the point got it ..good.

JUST A DUMB WHORE...oops I can't use that now that it's Trademarked

It's actually a Biblical term (King James version), probably why you've never heard of it. In fact I had not heard the term since attending Baptist Church several years ago. Chaff is the worthless portion of the wheat stalk. So the short explanation dumping the bad into the good or as referenced from my Baptist church days... Seperating the good wheat from the bad wheat.

Well, let me give this one a shot, but any good ole "Kansas" boys :) out there feel free to correct. But spouting off must the "rebel" in me. Basically, wheat has to go thru what is called the winnowing process. This is done to separate the outer inedible husks (the chaff) from the edible wheat (I believe it is some kind of spinning process today) but in the olden days you would use cloths and toss the wheat tops in the air which would cause the husks to separate from the "kernels" (the wheat version of shucking (not sucking :) ) corn). I believe however, today that the husks are used in making wheat bran.

In the context of the thread, my interpretation would be that you've gone to all the work to get the end product (review) but that you muddled it back up by throwing the unusuable crap (the chaff) back in.

BTW what is with the JDW (just a dumb whore)? After all your reparte and especially given your avatar, I though you were a JSA (just a smart ass). And remember, smart can refer to a lot of things from fashion to intelligence. :)

OK, I'll play "devils advocate" on this one. It's my perception that escorts don't always perform the same tasks with all clients. For example:

o Some escorts won't bottom on the first encounter with a client.

o Escort CAN bottom but that wasn't negotiated in advance.

o Escort loves to suck cock but the client is only active.

There are also times when a detailed description reveals TMD (too much detail) about the clients. Does the reviewer really want everyone on the internet to know he likes his ass tickled with a feather duster while the escort is dressed up as the maid? (Rick Monroe, how do you look wearing a short apron?)

There is an area above the description to indicate oral and anal preferences. Can't we trust the reviewer to KNOW what they did with the escort without providing a blow-by-blow account?

[font color = "green"

] Um...no, but it might be a little like tossing a bunch of expired Metrocards with a bunch of UNexpired Metrocards, making it hard to distinguish the good froom the bad:P

The Chaff in this expression, is the outer shell-like covering of the wheat which is removed when it is threshed--sorta like Thrashing in S&M circles ;) and the threshing machine separates the chaff from the wheat during the threshing process--the chaff probably now has uses but the wheat is key product and the expression as I've always heard it is "don't mix the chaff with the wheat.":+

Hey TY,

> I’m not asking for a porno short story – I don’t write those myself.

Why not? Rick always entertains us with his short stories (see his recent post about "humiliation"). Maybe you should think about that again. Could be a source of new income! :p

I suggest that you should help HooBoy starting a new section "Escort Reviews Rules" for this site. :*

For the record, I am not nor have I ever been a Baptist. :+ I'm not King James either. :7

In line with this thread, in daddy's forum in the thread on review form comments, I have suggested the options to rate reviews and skip over the chaff.

Posted

I know that Daddy has made a real effort to improve the utility and quality of the reviews, but frankly from what I have seen in the new format I much prefer the old-style reviews. The multiple categories often appear with the default "unknown" from reviewers who are too lazy to fill them in. You have to scroll down endlessly, and by the time you get to the bottom, you forgot what you read at the top. Today there is a review that has no handle for the reviewer. How did this get posted? And I agree that a lot of the described experiences are little more than an advertisement along the lines of " he was the greatest", "a lifetime experience" etc etc. And we don't even have a clue what the escort did to deserve such gushing. Oh well, that's my rant for the day.x(

Actually, I think TY has a metaphor problem here. What he really seems to be objecting to is that the wheat has been separated from the chaff, but it is the chaff that has been published as a review rather than the wheat.

You're wrong but for the right reason.

:+

Each listed escort has a bin... reviews are deposited in the bin... quality reviews are wheat, poor reviews the chaff. Inspecting the reviews means sifting through the chaff to find the juicy wheat kernals -- a nuisance and annoyance.
