I was listening to the radio and heard that Oprah is doing some sort of Life Tour. One of the local radio stations is giving away back stage tickets to meet and greet with Oprah. While I do find Oprah to be an interesting person, I do not see her as someone I would want to enter a contest to meet.

So, if you had the chance to win a dinner with another individual, which person would led you to enter. This is dinner guys not dinner and sex.

That said, I think Hillary Clinton would be my choice. I have been impressed with her efforts as Secretary of State and I believe that a Hillary Clinton presidency would have greatly out-shined the present Barak Obama presidency. I would also like to hear about the Bill Clinton presidency years.

I am not much of a politico, more entertainment and pop culture oriented, so at the moment it would be Lady GaGa. You might think, "what more is there to know", but i find her incredibly talented and interesting, and would LOVE to hear about her early years and inspirations, and as well her creative process. Although she is a very philanthropic person and I would like to hear the motivations behind her good deeds. And I am sure it would be entertaining as well, and unless she wears her MEAT DRESS, there will be NO sex ! :D

Jai Rodriguez, best known as the Culture guy from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, but has been acting and singing for years. According to IMDb, Jai performed in Rent as Angel on Broadway, has a solo act that he performs regularly, and appeared in at least one episode of Days of Our lives in January. He would be a great dinner companion.

Chuck Yaeger. Astornauts are interesting but pioneering pilots who are still alive would be more interesting to me as a pilot. I have no aspirations to be an astronaut.

There are many more pilots I would enjoy having dinner with and I have, with some of them. :)

I am fully aware that this is going to sound strange but I am a political animal. Queen Elizabeth II has met every major world political leader since the end of World War II. It would be interesting and might even be fun to sit down with her and listen to a candid evaluation of them.

This is a great question for me. I always say, "I wouldn't wait in line to meet the pope!" I'm THAT impatient! LOL

However, if we were meeting for dinner, I wouldn't mind sitting down with Obama just to see what he's really like away from the press etc. Maybe I could walk away not fearing him as much as I do now.

I admire strong, creative, courageous women and would love to dine with:

1. Hillary Clinton

2. Maya Angelou

3. Ellen DeGeneres

4. Meryl Streep

5. Barbra Streisand

I like your list, JackTwist... I have had the privledge of spending time with Maya Angelou, but not for dinner. But it was an incredible conversation, and she is even more impressive in person than she is in the press... But, I think I also agree with countryboy on having dinner with Obama. He is an incredible person, regardless of whether you agree with his political vies or his performance as a President. Finally, I would love to have dinner with Meryl Streep. I just finally saw The Iron Lady, and clearly she really deserved the Academy Award. As far as other guys are concerned... I would love to have been able to have dinner with Martin Luther King, Jr.

I did once, though it was not just the two of us. I'd like to say his conversation was greatly inspiring, but it wasn't. But neither was mine.

This is a tough one. Off the top of my head, I keep coming up with people who have passed away, like Bertrand Russell, G.H. Hardy, or Churchill. I might even go for an evil but brilliant person who had a major role in the 20th century--someone like Goebbels.

As far as people who are alive: The problem with the Queen is that she won't tell you much. I'd take Kate, Prince William's wife. I want to know how a relatively average girl landed him.

Fascinating choices! Prompts me to think Wittgenstein (imagine the challenges) or possibly Charles Sanders Peirce (ditto). But the reward for getting through the latter would be the pleasure of then being able to run rings round Derrida at tea the next day.

Also Oppenheimer would be utterly engrossing. Dirac too, although I would have to do the talking. :)

And as for which Reichminister, give me a week of meals with Speer!

Albert Speer, the man who rearmed Germany by creating her industrial might. There are so many historical figures worth having dinner with I don't know if one would gain 300 pounds doing so or almost starve to death because of being so fascinated one forgot to eat. :)

Oh Jackboy, are you thinking of something jackoffish?? Yeah Ricky and Prince, although I'd move Prince William there too!! Me, hmm how's Harry Connick Jr; he's so fantastic and has a nice basket!

Dammit, how could I have forgotten. I feel very guilty for saying this give what I know about him, but I'd likely be extremely attracted to him.

He probably largely went along to get along (politically speaking) but also likely did not turn down "slave labor" when his factories needed more workers. In other words, like most folks, he was a mixture of good and evil, but "most" do not have the opportunity to do things on this scale.

The most beautiful woman, I think, who ever lived--the young Elizabeth Taylor. Or the most talented--Julie Andrews. Historically, how about Augustus or Machiavelli?
