Somebody tweeted "RIP Roman Ragazzi. Terrible news. Just terrible." then others retweeted it. But now the original post by the guy who first tweeted it is gone. So not sure what to make of it.

I had no idea who he is, and note that I use the present tense. Rumors of some celebrity dying are common, and often false. The first thing to do might be to check Google. They are usually pretty up to date, and they have him alive as of 5 days ago.

I do remember all the Chit Chat about his Day Job But I thought it went back even further than 2007. I haven't seen anything on him on Daddys in a long time...

 

He to me seemed like the Goodlooking Typical Mediterrean Type which Europe etc has alot of.

For what it's worth, I'd noticed Dror Barak appeared in last month's OUT magazine. I already discarded it so don't recall all the particulars, but I think it was a swimwear photospread. Definitely a bunch of hunky guys. I thought it was interesting that they showed him with his real name, not his porn name. They identified him as a personal trainer.

 

I'd thought a lot about his outing since it happened. If I recall how it transpired, he got a phone call at work (the consulate) and the call made it clear news was going to get out. He went right over to his supervisor's office and resigned. End of job at the consulate. People could wag their fingers and say "well what did he expect" but still that's gotta be rough.

This is absolutely devastating news...SO young and to take ones life just seems so sad to me. I can't even imagine the sadness or desperation one must have to realize in there heart that suicide was the only option open to them....Today I will lite a candle and say a prayer for a soul I did not know, but still felt so connected to. Rest in peace young man....Go if you must, but go knowing that you made many of us smile, and because of that you made the World a little better place...

It is always sad when someone gives up the gift of life when they see no real alternative or hope - at least that is the only reason I can see for ending one's life. Sad, sad.

As someone who was very close to being at that point not even 2 years ago, I can understand the desperation that can drive someone suffering from depression to think that there is no hope, no way out. It is a dark, horrible existence. The same dark existence that living in the closet was for me. There was that parallel for me. Finding the right therapist and finally admitting to yourself that you need to make changes, to find the support that is out there even if you can't see it at the time, makes a big difference. It wasn't 2 months after my hospitalization that I finally decided I needed to start exploring what I had always known: I was a gay man. I joined Daddy's forum. Started hiring. And less than 6 months after being hospitalized I came out. 6 months after that I found the man I am now in love with. And I've never felt better, been happier, been more content and at peace with myself.

 

I know it gets better. After being in a dark hole for so long, my life now is full of light and love. Change isn't easy. Admitting you need help is hard. But in the end it is worth it. Because life is worth it. Two years ago, I didn't believe that. Now I can't believe what I almost missed, how stupid I was. But in the throes of that darkest of depressions you can't see light, you can't see hope. There is only despair.

 

Roman Ragazzi was always someone who I lusted after. He was, to me,just about the ideal man: mature, muscular, handsome, hairy. I am horribly saddened by the news. He had so much strength to endure being outed as he was. I just wish he would have, could have reached out to those who cared for him to help him through this depression. It is always sad when someone who apparently had so much to offer feels they have no choice but to kill themselves.

 

Please -- if someone tells you they are thinking of killing themselves, treat it seriously. Don't think of it as a flippant remark or laugh it off. Even saying it is a sign that someone is crying out for help.

 

RIP Roman. You will be missed.

If there are alot like him in Europe, I need to get to the continent much more frequently. Hot hairy muscular body and a great face and smile. Can't imagine him being less than a star anywhere he went

 

Did not read the posts which confirmed rather than negated his passing prior to writing this. Still true about his obvious assets but apparently there were deeper issues. Sad to see a passing at such a young age.

R.I.P. Roman Ragazzi. I posted the news on my Tumblr as soon as I heard it. Actor/Director Jake Deckhard was the 1st to report it. They were good friends.
