I've noticed something in the last few days. In looking at some of the RB and M4RN ads that people have been asking 411 about on the other threads, I've noticed several times that they list, when asked about drugs, state "You Can". Is this just something that I've missed? Is this something relatively new? I will admit I rarely look, and never hire off of RB or M4RN (I have more than enough guys that I have trouble seeing as it is), but I just found it a bit curious.

Lee, I too have noticed this, and it seems to me to be a relatively recent phenomenon, although I seldom look at RB or RentMen except when a link is posted here.

I noticed it for the first time a few weeks ago. At the same time, I noticed the word "Never" appearing in the "Drugs" category and the login process changed. Previously, after logging in your "hot list" displayed. Now, the page from which you logged in is displayed. My guess is they deployed a new release with additional features. If they could only rectify their database and querying challenges.

I think it's pretty obvious what it means - enough guys use party drugs and the escort is saying he is okay with that if the client wants to do that, but he is not advertising that he himself will be using with the client. Probably from a business point of view, that's a wise decision - not to screw up your mind when working.

I've seen the same thing with drinking. I've been with an escort who does not drink but has no objection if I have a glass of wine to relax before we start.

...and, as we all know, wine is not illegal, and while it can be addictive, it is in a much different league than say...crystal meth or other illegal party drugs.

I assumed it's a convenient way for the escort to convey that its ok for his client(s) to use drugs during their session without committing to use himself.

I think the question itself raises questions

DRUGS?

Popper's.... 420 friendly... coke... crack..ex...k...Molly...

YOU CAN?

I think there are few escorts who will be hardlined about clients marijuana or popper use who might be less accepting of some of the harder stuff.

While I try not to judge. Why pay all that money to be with the man of your choice and miss it....then again perhaps the thrill of using with someone hot is the thing. Not my poison .... hard to tell

Alcohol may be legal for you but it depends on the jurisdiction, age and other factors.

I have had 20 year old clients who were illegally drinking. I have also had clients who had a medical marijuana card and were legally smoking pot. Also have had clients smoking the highly addictive tobacco cigarettes in places where it was not allowed by hotel policy or EVEN illegal by local ordinance.

Should I have refused to see them?

It is my understanding that while perhaps rare, meth-amphetamine (AKA meth or tina) can be legally prescribed as Desoxyn for a variety of conditions.

Personally the drug I find addictive is coffee. The active ingredient caffeine would appear to be highly addictive and while I tend to have only one or two shots of espressos a day it can occasionally get out of hand. And I'll walk way more than a mile for well done cafe ristretto. Though I'm proud to say that I've gone many days recently without any caffeine. Willpower and sleep seem capable of conquering anything.

I don't know if coffee is currently illegal anywhere in the U.S but I know it HAS been illegal in various parts of the world including possibly parts of Utah. Certainly there was a fairly strong movement in the day before and during prohibition to ban coffee in the USA.

My assumption was that it was shorthanded for things such as marijuana, crystal meth or ecstasy. Maybe cocaine. Who knows. I can't imagine poppers would be an issue.

Of course coffee is verboten in the land of Mormon so it wouldn't surprise me about trying to outlaw it in Utah. I don't know what they'd do with Coke and Pepsi now. Don't even ask about Jolt cola.

It was just a phrasing I'd never noticed before and didn't know if it was something I'd missed in the fog of old-age or if it was indeed something new.

Having had the interesting (mis)fortune of being in Utah about a year and a half ago, I can tell you that they shamelessly served me all the coffee I wanted with absolutely no rolling of the eyes or any such sort of disapproval. I also saw people smoking pot out of the street in plain view, right around the Salt Palace convention center. The bar I visited was a little weird though.

This is exactly how it plays out for me. The two most common drugs I'm asked if I mind a client using (other than alcohol) are poppers and pot, and my response for these is "you can." I don't mind if the client uses either of these when we get together but I don't choose to participate. As others have suggested I like to keep a clear head when I'm meeting a client, but know a lot of guys get great pleasure out of either poppers or pot and neither bother me.

The speedy drugs are another story, and that's why I select "never" in my ads. An appointment with someone who has been tweeking is very different than someone who is smoking pot or using poppers. I don't want an appointment with a tweeker, and I feel the drug choice response is more related to pnp/meth than poppers and marijuana.

I'm not sure when "you can" was added, or if it's been there all along. For what it's worth, here's what the pull-down menu looks like and the choices currently available for the escort placing the ad:

Interesting Nate. Thanks.

I guess the question for you would be as far as marijuana would it make a difference if it is incall or outcall. And of course, if you are touring and someone wants to smoke marijuana while at your smoke-free hotel room. Then what?

Of course, I would not want to take any substance that would distract me from any single second of time with you. You're too damned good to not be fully present 100% of the time. :)

I always laugh when clients smoke in their rooms and then have to pony up the cleaning fee, apparently at the W chain it's close to 500$ if you have been smoking in a non-smoking room. :p

I'd say like in everything: it depends.

Don't assume when you see "you can" ... ASK ![/color]

Exactly...if it is important to you then ask.
