I have spent much more than I care to admit, and much more than last year which was much more trhan the year before. I seemed to get into a bad habit with one regular from May to September. Luckilly, that is coming to an end now. I am spending much less recently, and as I posted on another thread, I have not seen much on the market that interests me or that I have not already had on Rentboy, Campus, Chelsea and Alist this Fall. I have mixed feelings. I would like to see some new talent emerge, but then again I do like to see the money staying in my own bank account too.

However, I'm sure it's over $6k, which is probably a bit less than last year (when I was out of town more, and thus hiring more on those trips). I guess that I should get a less expensive hobby, but I just love those cute young guys.

Having spent most of the last decade or so, since I left acting, in public service, I don't have the kind of income that I used to. Even though I just started hiring this fall, I have spent more than I can afford and less than I wanted. There's a lesson here somewhere for me, but haven't learned it yet.

I spent only $1200 in direct payments to escorts this year; I don't know how much I spent on peripherals, like travel, hotels, meals, etc. This is definitely a drop-off from recent years, due not to the economy so much as to declining desire (and increased satisfaction from the escort experiences I did have). It will probably be even less money next year because of increased expenses connected with other interests and needs.

Strangely enough this topic appeared on the board today... Earlier I sent an escort an email to seek out his itinerary and price while he's in the States from Brasil. He immediately replied, of which I indeed appreciated, but his rate of $350 per hour was to me much more than I would like to expend.

 

Then this topic popped on the board. Again, strangely and coincidentally, yesterday I read my most recent review of an escort and looked at the listed individuals I've seen during the past two years. Beside each name I listed the man's fee. Then I added up the fees and thought about how many times I'd seen each and began to refigure.

From my calculations, I deduced that I'd spent a lot of very HARD- earned money. I began to reflect on what material item I could have had as well as what relatives could have benefited from this money from me as well as some trips to which I could have used this money.

 

I, like some of the preceding respondents, came to these conclusions:

I really had no idea how much I had spent this year...so this got me curious as to what I had actually spent. I got out my schedule book and started adding it up. With the Escorts I've hired from the reviews, and guys from The Gaiety and Montreal Strip clubs, plus an overnight and my first 3-way that I have scheduled before the end of the year, I will have spent over $14,000. I know I've been like a kid in a candy store this year but this has put me in "sticker shock". I guess the most surprising thing adding this up was the actual total number of encounters I had scheduled.

Oh well, I am having the time of my life!!!!!!

I would guess well over 20,000 with a trip to WDW in Jan, a Great Celebrtation in Vegas in April, a Cruise in June, Houston in Sept and Vegas again in a few days and all this was with a very special escort(VBD/SDD). Different answer this time: With a couple of minor exceptions, I had great times (with just two exceptions) wherever I chose to hire escorts: New England, New York, New Orleans, California, even once in Iowa ... nothing wrong with Iowa, of course, just that I'm not familiar with the midwest ...

 

I continued associations with some escorts that I fancy, and met a couple of new guys that I would like to see again.

 

I still have a few pennies in my pocket, so I'm not complaining. Had lots of fun, and that's really what it is about, no?

I had many great times..but overall...not worth the amount I spent. Upon reflection,I have definitely scaled way back. Hiring has its pro's and con's but is becoming a far less frequent event for me..and not only for financial reasons. Despite some short term temporary highs,I do not feel that hiring has been that great a thing for me in the long run. I've hired five times this year and spent about $1000.
