Can you give me some help with my travel “problem”? An opportunity has come up for a lengthy fling in the spring, and I need your suggestions for a city where I can have access to the biggest pool of my preferred type of escort. What type would that be? He's good-looking, muscular, charming, intelligent, and an all round pleasure to spend time with. Probably, but not necessarily, late 20's to early 40's. Kissing and cuddling a must. Oral and anal talents are not important; there won't be much sweaty sex.

New York? Los Angeles? Obvious possibilities, but pricey. I'm looking for other ideas where the pool of men might be just as full of choice.

Orlando? Would I also have access to guys from the Tampa/Clearwater/St Petersburg area? Would an escort consider that a reasonable travel distance for a two or three hour appointment? Would it be reasonable for an escort from the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area?

Boston? What other locations are within reasonable driving distance of Boston?

Phoenix? Palm Springs? Etc? So many men, so little time! Help!

If you're not comfortable about posting your comments, please feel free to PM me with your recommendations or warnings about specific areas or men.

Thanks everyone!

Now that you have Listed every "Major Market" I suggest you start Looking at "Pix's and Reading Reviews" in those Markets!

20's to 40's that covers just about EVERY Good Looking Muscle Guy in those Markets also! So check their Review Pix's!

IF you do your Research you'll probably be able to write a book on the subject of "Working Guys" in the U.S.

Damn GP you are all over the board here. I would try narrowing it down just a bit, don't you think? For starters, and ya know I am going to catch hell for this, but I think Phoenix and Palm Springs could be scratched off the list, and yes I have been to both places numerous times and yes eliminate them. Can't compare to NYC or LA or South Beach. And DC is right, CHICAGO is a great town. Only my opinion though!

Thanks for your comments BG, DG, and BVB. Yes, I did cast a pretty big net to start with, but at least you have confirmed for me that I wasn't overlooking some major market. . . . Except Chicago. I love Chicago, have been there, and will go again. Dane Scott and Raul will always be able to pull me back there. Not any other current guys in Chicago that I care to see again, though. But Chicago is an easy trip for me, and so this time I want to look outside the Midwest.

I think I will scratch Phoenix and Palm Springs and stick to the East Coast. So that pretty much means Orlando or Boston. Can anyone help me understand size of the areas from which I can draw in those two places? I have no idea whether it is reasonable to ask someone to come from Miami to Orlando, for example. Is that considered within "driving distance"?

Same for Boston. I have no experience with driving in the Northeast. What other cities are within a reasonable driving distance from Boston?

Your thoughts?

The only cities of note within a two hour drive of Boston are Providence and Hartford. Neither are meccas for escorts. Provincetown is within the driving distance but in the spring you will pretty much be out there alone. Orlando and Tampa and Sarasota are all within a reasonable drive but Fort Lauderdale and Miami are significant trips from Orlando. Philadelphia and New York are close enough to drive but the escort scene in Philly is limited with mostly travelers to that city being attractions. New York would seem the optimum place but if NYC is too expensive, Washington is probably the best bet.

Hey gp0560! The drive from Fort Lauderdale / Miami to Orlando is about 3 1/2 hours one way. I can't speak for my colleagues located in those areas, but for me to drive that far I would only consider it if it were an overnight appointment. The Tampa / St. Pete. / Clearwater area is about 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes from Orlando. I do visit those areas, from Orlando, but require a multiple hour appointment and with plenty of notice; again, other guys may come to Orlando for an hour appointment.

I hope I have been of some help in regard to your possible visit to Orlando.

I'll add Chicago to your research list if you're going there late spring. And L.A. isn't as expensive as NYC, in case you can easily go to either. I like NYC a lot better, but L.A. definitely easier on the wallet.

New YOrk City has it all, but the cost of living is phenomenal; thus the rates of many escorts go for $300 and upwards now!!!!

I most definitely agree with gp0560 cut Palm Springs and Phoenix from your list. The L.A. market doesn't have to be outrageous as far a costs are concerned. You can always get a good hotel through hotwire or priceline. The difficulty with L.A. is that you will likely need a car if you want to do any sightseeing and driving in the L.A. basin is a bitch.

If you select Palm Springs you will likely have to import L.A. escorts and than CAN get costly. Phoenix is something of a limited specialty market. If you see an escort or two you like go for it but the overall selection isn't that great.

Have you considered San Francisco. Again you can find affordable hotels using hotwire and priceline and it is a great city for sightseeing. The bonus is that you wouldn't need a car as public transportation is excellent.

NY = best selection, highest average prices. SF = great city, lower prices. LA = better weather, mid range prices, traffic.

I'd look around Rentboy and the like and pick all the guys you'd want to see and develop lists for each city and budget it out and see what city on the menu wins.

I'm long over due a wild weekend in SF and LA now that you get me thinking about this.

I agree with dupontversDC's analysis approach... but I guess I might favor LA as you can always slip down to San Diego or Palm Springs at very little cost if you see something in either of those two places~! I am long overdue for a trip to LA too, and have never been disappointed there with the variety, quality and reasonable cost. However, if you have the money, there is nothing quite like NYC, unless you go to London or Sydney!

The problem with Palm Springs is that there are few local escorts--it's really a small town, after all. There are a lot of visiting escorts, but most are from L.A. or are travelling around and also include L.A. in their itinerary. Best to go to L.A., and make a visit out to P.S. for relaxation, possibly accompanied by someone you pick up in L.A. The Hoovillites who come to the annual "Palm Springs Weekend" usually bring their own escorts with them rather than try to hire locally. I am personally acquainted with only two local escorts, and they live here only part of the year.

Well! Gotta say I am surprised and pleased by how many of you are willing to be my travel agents. Maybe I should say Trip Advisors.

PK & MV, thanks for the input on distances. Makes sense to me. One point, though, I don't plan to be the one driving. I stay put and draw them into my web.

Ep, how could I forget San Francisco? That's where I hired my first escort and had my first adult male/male encounter.

NAT, I'm thinking 5 days, with a travel day at each end.

All: I think I'll stay on the East Coast. I'll be looking more closely at Boston. Orlando etc, and Miami etc. Hmm, maybe a trip from home to Boston, then to Florida, then back home? So many options, but I thank you all for helping me get this far.

Peace.

I'm too lazy to read back through the whole thread to check, but did anyone mention Fort Lauderdale? I have friends both there and in Orlando, and they agree that the escort scene in the former is much better. And the whole Ft Lauderdale/Miami area is full of interesting things to do outside of escorts and strip clubs. Once you get past the winter season, there are hotel bargains galore available through priceline.

Sounds good, NAT. When I said, "Miami," I really meant the Miami area. This does include Ft L, doesn't it?

What do the Miami hotels consider the end of the winter season?

I live in Michigan and fly escorts in from all over the place. Exactly how EXPENSIVE can it possibly be going from Palm Springs to LA?

Yup. 'bout half an hour or 45 minutes between the two, depending exactly where you start and where you're going.

BTW, my friends here tend to call me "new;" my first thought when I read "NAT" is of the deceased father of a friend.:)

Bidding for Travel[/url][/b]. That should give you a good idea of how the winning bids on priceline track the seasons.
