I did note however, that the other forum listed the invite as "for regular posters". Being an irregular poster I did feel a bit unwelcome, even if I could have attended. Chicago, on the other hand, is in my backyard and it would be great to meet some of the members of this forum.

I'm 100% sure that not everyone attending the lunch will be going to IML. As Leeper posted, The Grabby Awards are also taking place in town that weekend and as Tomcat mentioned, there are always Sidetrack and Horseshoe as well as other diversions in Boystown. We'd love to have you there, Indy. It's a good opportunity for you to renew friendships with guys you met in PS and make some new friends as well. Don't worry, there will be other guys there who will not be attending IML, if you're unsure about it. Another chance to learn and grow, my friend, hope that you can make it.

Well alot of us are in town for the event but im sure sidetracks and horseshoe will be on the agenda too. There is a bartender I need to get reacquainted with.

 

Plus you and aj were part of the barracks crowd. At least the latter half. We would need you there to make the reunion complete.

 

wanted to qualify something I said here for those not in PS. when I said at least the latter half I was not saying we needed aj not indy for the reunion to be complete. Not at all. I meant that Indy and AJ joined those who returned to barracks for the latter half of the evening but were "otherwise engaged" during the earlier timeframe when we first attended barracks. There is no doubt that whereever we went in Palm Springs... we were the party. LMAO so It would be great to be able to rekindle a little of that again at Chicago one night whether it be IML or a night out in boystown.

For all those who were at Barrack's in PS, we will certainly have to outdo ourselves again but this time bring the magic home to IML where all the leather fantasies and objects of affection will be waiting!

 

Now what to wear... what to wear to such an event. Should I pull out the Barrack's leather gear or should I use the new backless chaps that I ordered in PS which should be arriving next week? Decisions, decisions, decisions...

My Mom was always the life of the party and would have loved to have gone to Chicago--as long as she could be the center of attention and everyone was "good" to her son. Guess her Italian background and love of people did funnel down to me.

I am planning on being there to see PS friends again and meet the midwestern contingency as long as my moving goes as planned.

I really didn't get a chance to meet you in PS but I hope to in Chicago. Personally, I plan on attending some of the leather events and definitely the Barracks 1 & 2 Reunion (I think this will be the hottest and most fun event of the weekend) bu I also want to spend time "exploring" (Tyger style) the people and places of Chicago.

Perhaps we can check out the non-leather activities. Just let me know.

Well there is clearly someone missing from this thread. No not part of the barracks contingent. No trip to chicago especially around a leather is that would be complete without the illustrious. Raul g Manzo. If anyone can lead a contingent around chicago like ace did for us in palm springs. Its Raul. The last time I went to chicago it was tb and raul who showed me around.

Well, yeah, both real and fake ones. Like anyone else cops get horny. And plenty of them seem to like leather and various kink.

Speaking of cops I find it funny how some escorts will ask if the client is a cop. I guess the idea is that if the client-to-be says yes then the session is refused? I never ask, and it's a good thing because a couple of my most fun clients later confided that they were in fact police officers.

Ive heard from a number of escorts and attendees that this might be a better idea timing wise. Hell we might also find that since we are all in town an evening out at sidetracks or boystown might also be fun.... just a thought. I certainly don't want to step on what chitown is planning but im hearing some of our IML attendees might not be able to attend based on timing.

That might not be a bad idea as an option since hotel checkin is usually mid pm, but either scenario is fine with me.
