Wow! Who would have thought that there would be a "Barracks Gang" reunion this soon. I was giving thought to going to Chicago, but all of this tantalizing talk about bon - bons, buns and leather has converted that thinking into a "hell yes I am going to Chicago for the lunch and other assorted activites. I can not talk for David, but check his travel calendar and you will find that he is scheduled to be in Chicago at the end of May.

If anyone needs any hotel accomadations in Chicago, I have a great hotel in Downtown Chicago, the Hard Rock Chicago, where there is a Reservations Rep that can get you a free double upgrade. Get in touch with me and I will set you up with my people.... LOL

 

Now that the PS Hooville attendees have returned to their home bases, I thought I'd start this thread. Welcome Home, Guys - I know that all of you had a blast.

 

In that spirit of friendship and comraderie, I've been wanting to organize a Lunch & Get Together here in Chicago for any forum members who'd be interested in participating. This would be similar to what Lee organized in DC in January. I think that it would be a great opportunity for those of us who haven't met to be able to connect the face with the handle, and for others to see old friends. It should be a lot of fun for everyone.

 

I've put out some initial feelers to Lee and other forum members for their input, thanks guys! It's been suggested that we do it on Saturday, May 28th, during IML. I have a couple ideas as far as a venue for the lunch.

 

I need a commitment from anyone who would be interested in attending so I can move ahead with the plans. Either post on this thread or PM me with your intent.

For all those who were at Barrack's in PS, we will certainly have to outdo ourselves again but this time bring the magic home to IML where all the leather fantasies and objects of affection will be waiting!

 

Now what to wear... what to wear to such an event. Should I pull out the Barrack's leather gear or should I use the new backless chaps that I ordered in PS which should be arriving next week? Decisions, decisions, decisions...

While a reunion of the barracks crowd almost completely.... sorry leigh and daddy ... at barracks we were all partnered and subject to the no poaching rules. I am not a frequent poster as I usually don't have that much to say, but would love to attend the Chicago lunch. I have read the recaps of Palms Springs and am totally envious of those who had that experience. Had I not spent the month prior to that event out of the country, I would have liked to attend that gathering. I did note however, that the other forum listed the invite as "for regular posters". Being an irregular poster I did feel a bit unwelcome, even if I could have attended. Chicago, on the other hand, is in my backyard and it would be great to meet some of the members of this forum.

I am sure you will be very welcome at the Chicago event as well as the Palm Springs event next year. I don't think either are meant to exclude any poster here on the Forum. You can check with the organizers in a PM if that would make you more comfortable. I wasn't able to be in PS, and have a family conflict with the Memorial Day weekend in Chicago, but the vibes I get are that everyone is welcome.
