Sometimes in life I come upon people that show incredible kindness and concern. I don't always know why I have been blessed with such people especially since I have always been so selfish and self absorbed. I find myself at one of those places where people are treating me better than I feel I am owed. I am not saying it doesn't feel good, but it does give me pause . One expression I have often told others is that blessings come how they come. I guess this is one of those times when the message is for me.

My sincere thanks to all who have called, written cards, and posted messages of support. My thanks to Lucky for the thread he started and to Daddy for his kind words of support in his thread and for his maintaining this site which is so much more than just talking about escorts.

I was released from the hospital one week ago today after 24 days although I am still self administering a very strong antibiotic via IV every 8 hours at home. I am due for another bone marrow biopsy on Monday to determine whether I need another course of chemo right now or if I can have a month off to continue to recover. I am obviously hoping for the latter since I have Dodger tickets this coming week for two games and tickets for YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN in 2 weeks.

I treasure the words of comfort and support from the nice people at this site and believe me, while I may no longer have hair and may be 50 lbs lighter, I still have my determination and my sense of humor (how else could I look in the mirror?).

Your thoughts, prayers and good wishes along with a healthy dose of God's love will get me the rest of the way.

JH-

I don't know you and you don't know me but I have always admired your expressed support of the military (regardless of the political process). And, unfortunately, I have known many folks who have suffered from cancer and disease in general; therefore I have to add my vote for your continued improvement and steady progress towards a long and enjoyable life. This has to include Dodger games and plays. :)

Best regards,

KMEM

  • 2 weeks later...

Just a quick update that the biopsy came back with good news. I am in full remission.

yes I did get to see both Dodger games and the Dodger Rep who sold me my season package came down to my seats at the Thursday game and took my friend and I to seats right behind home plate where we hobnobbed with Larry King and were treated like kings ourselves.

Thanks again for all the cards (Oliver) and kind messages.

Late Good Wishes

Glad to hear about the remission and your good attitude. Being positive emotionally helps the body's immune system deal with all kinds of ills... so keep up the spirits. Even though I have never met you, I enjoy your posts and wish you the very best in your recovery. :)

Hey Jackhammer,

Good to hear about the full remission. Glad you got to the Dodger games. You will, I think, enjoy Young Frankenstein. It was great here when it played on Broadway. Check out the song "He Vas my Boyfriend", just hilarious.

Best wishes, Buddy.
