I don't know if it SHOULD be judgement free. I hope it does. I do know that people wont post here if they feel they are going to be judged harshly. I know some people just cant understand that. No matter, just accept that its true. And some of the subjects that can talked about under the rubric of fetishes are very much a small niche interest and difficult to get real information from people who actually know something about the subject.

I also agree and have posted some comments in the thread dealing with scat where BigGuy also posted. To repeat myself, if people are turned off by a subject raised under the fetish forum, they should just move on and not make their gratuitous or childish remarks. If an escort reviewed on this site is offering services covered by a particular fetish, people should be able to discuss it without the detractors chiming in with their catcalls. After all, we are supposedly adults and adults should be able to discuss anything they consider appropriate as long as it is done in a considerate manner.

We don't have, nor should we in my opinion, a forum that is free of judgement(interesting that this can be spelled judgment as well .. English is weird.) Why can't people post their joys and "fetishes" while receiving responses questioning them? We post and respond anonymously, with many posters maintaining two or more (I don't) identities. It would hardly be the definition of "brave" to come out against, or for anything!

Question? Yeah no problem e.g. "Why is that appealing" or "How did you get interested in that". On the other hand repeated uses of words like disgusting or "How could anyone...." are going to be taken as judgemental.

Like I said I can appreciate that you don't get why people wont post in the face of hostility even in an "anonymous" internet. But the fact remains people dont. And for me I'm much more in favor of asking people to be a little respectful of differences than trying to "make" people do something I think they are not inclined to do. I understand you don't respect why someone wont post on a subject in the face of criticism, just accept it and shrug your shoulders and move on.

And why someone would have two or more screen names? I have no idea, but the fact there are so many of them out there makes me pretty suspicious of anything anyone posts here.

I agree totally, this is a place for discussion. We really should always be respectful. I love this message board, and each forum. It's a great feeling for each of us to come here, albeit anonymously, but recognized by our screen names, and be accepted. For a lot of us, that doesn't always happen in our communities, families, etc.

Just my two cents worth!

Really??? This has got to be the least active forum on the entire message board. Taylorky's last posting to this forum, in early February, was the latest I saw for the last 6 weeks plus, until tonight. And the only postings tonight, were posters chastising others. Ain't that just grand, as if their shit don't stink, unlike the shit of those they chastise!

IMO, this forum should just be discontinued, as it is seldom availed, and thus useless, and could be replaced with a forum about a topic that is of more interest to the general population. A forum that could be established based on the the desires of the majority of the members, as relayed to those in charge, or voted on right here in the mc.

VaHawk - Eye of the beholder, big guy. What you see here as chastising, many of us see as asking, almost on the order of begging. This forum would be most valuable to us as a safe space. We would learn more about each other that way. We mean you no harm so long as you mean us no harm.

And, as for the will of the majority, if we took that to the extreme, we wouldn't have this site at all. So, once in a while we look out for the rights and interests of the minority.

And, though now I am speculating, on days when there are neither anyone writing nor anyone reading, do we use bandwidth or any other important resource? I wouldn't think so. But then, I don't know for sure.

lets face it boiled possum innards on jack frys menu will draw attention by those with a palate not quite as sophisticated or adventurous, and in my opinion the same holds true here.

  • 7 months later...

There is a rational explanation behind the resurrection of this thread so mysteriously this morning. Let's just say that someone posted something obnoxious about another poster and his post was deleted by the moderators. And then you stumbled on the scene! Does that answer your question?
