Talked for over a month about meeting when said client was comming into town.

I got an email the day of the arranged meeting stating to bring condoms ect as he didnt have any.

Then recieved a phone call from said client 10 minutes before the arranged time stating he was stuck in the Dallas Texas Airport and couldnt make our arranged date. Now to me this is understandable even after preparing for an hour to be ready and looking pretty, turning down 3 other calls and potential clients. However I get a little purturbed when I look at the caller ID and it is from the hotel the clients was to be staying at here in San Diego, also redialed the number and asked for the clients room and the desk clerk says one moment I will put you right through.

If you want to cancel an appointment, be man enough to do so in a mature fashion. If you found something else that better suits your needs, cool. Just dont lie about why you want to cancel.

I see no practical difference between this guy and a no-show client. :(

He was 'kind' enough to call and inform you of the no show, true enough. But this kindness seems 'mitigated' by the gross deceit practiced, not to mention the ten minute notice. The ten minute notice strikes me that this guy got cold feet at the last minute.

I can forsee circumstances where a client having travel problems might only be able to manage ten minutes notice -- but I think it rare. Nevetheless, acting in good faith under such circumstances wouldn't classify him as a no-show in my book.

Hmmmm if in fact he did get cold feet, thats cool, however I did get a call the next day on my voice mail stating he had time to see me but it would have to be now, other wise he had no time. Another thing that puzzles me, why do you clients call stating NOW, I have to see you NOW or forget it. Your hard on will come back, or take your viagra when its appropriate to do so lol

Don't you just love people that think you must be stupid. In todays caller ID world, I would assume everyone has it and knows where I'm calling from. If he did get cold feet (doesn't seem to be the case) I don't understand clients that don't just say it! Damn grow some BALLS!

"Your hard on will come back, or take your viagra when its appropriate to do so lol" LMAO..

Michael, from your post here it sounds like to me the client was on the losing end of this no show. ;-)

Just reading that story makes my blood boil...getting stood up for ANY reason truly sucks...and you did turn away some biz...I remember a story in Sweden or Norway (or one of them Nordic countries) about a call girl suing a man in court for not showing up for a scheduled appointment....she won I believe.

Someone made a total fool of me the other day. He calls & says he has to meet within the hour for a 2-hour appointment and "Could you dress like a lumberjack?" So I, eager to please, ran & borrowed some logging boots from a friend, then ran to the Gap & the Salvation Army looking for a flannel shirt. I finally put my "outfit" together and ran to the guy's apartment, making it in exactly 45 minutes...only to find that the address he gave me didn't exist. I was pissed, but I did get cruised by a few hot lesbians on the way home so that was cool.

I hate stories like this. x(

If he *had* been stuck in Dallas he certainly would have known about it earlier than 10 minutes before your meeting. (Like at flight time.) It says a lot about him that he couldn't do that math, or that he thought you couldn't.

Calling again the next day and saying "now or never" is just plain stoopid.

I agree that this is probably a client you don't want anyway.

Rick,

It tears me that the guy axed you. And, I know it's a tired saw, but you're a chip off the old block and next time you hear from him tell him to buzz off and let him lick his own chops.

Later.

That really sucks, especially when you've turned down other business. Us massage guys get this too, just recently had an outcall scheduled. Often I can sense when the person is a flake or won't show, but this guy sounded so legit. He gave me extremely detailed instructions to an area almost 45 minutes away. I drive out there, and find the instructions are exact all the way to the very side street, only to find all the addresses are North, the address he gave me was a South #, which didn't exist. I figure, well maybe I took it down wrong and it was North, so I spend another 20 minutes looking, and finally call and the damn number he gave was fake (his first call was blocked). So almost 2 hours of my time driving for nothing. :( Thank god this doesn't happen very often!!

If I had a dollar for every email I recieve stating " I will be in San Diego Bla Bla date, I will call ya when I get into town to let you know where I am staying and my room number. Please set aside ____ time and date" I wouldnt have to escort at all.:+

In response, I never have said NOW... well... I did say as soon as possible once -- after an escort no-showed that evening. The guy I contacted was there in 20 minutes bright eyed and bushy tailed. We had a good time and he got a good review -- something he had wanted. His business took off and the rest is history. He's retired now having met someone and settled down.

FOr the record, I always plan ahead. I don't like leaving things to chance; any port in a storm is not my style.

So Michael, I suggest you get a narrower paint brush -- not all clients wear well the same shade as I'm sure is true for escorts too..

Rick,

Are you sure they're lesbians, or could you be too pissed to notice that you were cruised by some hot trans? }>

Once, many, many moons ago, I mentioned on these threads that a lot of potential clients here in Houston wouldn't hire if I told them that I would need at least an hour's notice to get to them. As I put it, I am not a fighter squadron, ready to run out the door yelling Tora, Tora, Tora at the drop of a hat. (Got a chuckle out of Traveller at the time I first said it, so I couldn't resist saying it again.) ;-)

When I first began hiring escorts I found it very frustrating that they would not rush right over. I wanted to play when I was in the mood. I have been training myself to make future appointments and enjoy the feelings of excitement and expectation. I actually feel as if my escort buddys are much more fun and rested when we make an advance appointment. They know I am true to my word and they don't have to worry about other appointments for that day. Occasionally, I will have a rough day and simply feel too tired to follow through with the appointment. In those cases I always call the escort and explain the mood I'm in and ask for some extra TLC to perk me up. I've also learned that a "regular" escort is the best. I currently have two guys who know my needs and desires very well. The companionship and sexual satisfaction they offer is incredible!

On the other side of the coin, why do so many escorts advertise 24/7 service? In my days of wanting it fast and now I was very frustrated by this. I would see a 24/7 ad only to be told that I should call back in the morning.

I have learned to be a "Good" client by being clean, honest and genourous. My escorts have responded by being there when I needed them and treating me like the "daddy" I want and need to be.

Now can someone please give me a gold star on my rating! I feel so left out :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-) :-)

I don't hire escorts often, and, being a bit shy, I usually have to work up the nerve to call good looking escorts whose pictures I see in Frontiers magazine. I usually expect to get a pager or answering machine. But once I called someone whom I had been considering for a long time and when he picked up the phone directly, I totally froze and hung up the phone! Well the guy called my bluff because he had caller I.D. and he called me back immediately. He was totally cool about it over the phone and in fact he talked me into seeing him that night. I was very glad I did! :9

Getting a good chuckle from me as well.

I only ask to at least have time to shower, douche, shave ect. For god sakes your asking to have sex with me, let me be clean. I dont sit in front of my phone ready 24/7 waiting for the call.

RE: A Different Perspective

As a client I always like to schedule appointments at least a day ahead of time (with my advancing years I need prep time ;) ) I hate it when escorts don't call me back if they don't pick up my message right away. They ASSUME that I want them to rush right over. Wrong. :-(

Sorry to hear about that Rick.

But I'm curious: does stuff like that happen a lot? (Nonexistant addresses, last minute phone calls from caller-ID blocked numbers, no shows, etc.)

Has your increased reliance on the Internet, where people can be totally anonymous, added to it?

I ask because all of the above are hallmarks of cruising AOL chat rooms.

There are some escorts that won't book days/weeks in advance because they've had similar experiences to yours. I would think other clients would be pissed at this guy because it could make things more difficult for them in the future if they want to legitimately book in advance and escorts have changed policies.

Also, there are a number of guys out there, who I won't dignify them by calling them clients, who play this e-mail game just to pull-your-chain. They really have no plan on meeting with you. They just get off by leading you along, etc. Once the meeting time is about to occur they either cancel the appointment or are a no-show. Game over.

I only hire when I am traveling-need to be discrete around home and there's no body here I'm interested in anyway-at least no professionals. I usually book two weeks in advance since I am very limited in my available play time, and specific in who I want to see. I've definitly run into a reluctance to commit, often get a "Contact me when you get in town" of "call back a little closer to the day". With this type of shenanigans going on I can understand the reluctance to commit, but that doesn't make my life any easier. That's one reason I tend to repeat, if I've had several meetings with the guy they know I'll show up when I say I will. I would also think these "clients" would be prime fodder for the escorts only section.

I've ran into this several times also. I understand that many clients don't show on these advance appts. however that doesn't make it easy for those of us who do! :( I PREFER to book several days in advance.

I live in a small town, which is at least two-three hours from the "action" in any direction, so I always plan ahead (2-4 weeks and have never canceled) and make a little adventure out of it. And I've only encountered one escort unwilling to commit that far in the advance and then when I contacted him a few days before my desired date...he was already booked...so I missed out. But fortunately I had an alternate choice and he was available on short notice.
