Sabatical ( I think I spelled that right)

I have been thinking about this for a quite a few months now and I think I have come to the point where I need to step away for awhile. I can't say for how long. Maybe a month, six months or forever can't say right now. It has been great fun with the little bit of traveling I have been able to do and it was great meeting the guys! But right now I need to take a break. Since starting the biz back I think in 2001 things have been slow. It didn't matter how many profiles I have posted on different websites how many times I have posted travel plans here on the mc and what not I am just not getting the work. Is all I can say is thank the higher powers that be I have a day job and have never heavily relied on escorting to pay the bills. Don't get me wrong this has been fun but right now I don't feel I can compete with the smooth twinks or muscle porn studs. I am neither one of those and never will be. I can only be myself and the way I am seeing things right now is that was not good enough for whatever reason and I think I know what that reason is. So as of March 31, 2005 I will not be seeing anyone till I feel I am ready if that point comes about. I wish everyone the best here on the mc esp. Hooboy! Hooboy your site is an extremely valuable asset to the escorting community! Please keep up the good work and don't let those who want to bring you down do so. Again I wish everyone here the best in everything that they decide to do.

Take as much time as you need. There have been jokes on this board from time to time about how escorts retire, only to re-emerge a few months or so later. It's definitely a line of work that you can loose a taste for from time to time. There have been times where I wonder why I'm still doing it, and other times when I remember how much I like it. I think taking a sabatical or retirement makes total sense, since you'll soon enough figure out whether you miss it or are happier without it.

 

But don't beat yourself up too much over it all... I'll admit that this year has not been too great for business in general, so it probably has less to do with you than you'd think. Just take it in stride, and best of luck to you with whatever you decide to do next.

I have gone on and come back from several sabbaticals over the years. Enjoyed being gone, enjoyed coming back. Nothing wrong with escorting part time, if you enjoy it. No real need to do it full time if it isn't paying the full time bills. Enjoy your vacation! If you don't come back, no hard feelings, now. If you do, don't let yourself feel trapped into doing it.
