Big Brother on CBS - 2026

What happened to the Company of Men guys who liked to chime in on this show each year? I'm doing the polar opposite of what I normally do when it comes to cheering for a contestant. Typically, if the person is a dumb ditz, usually a bartender with a pretty body, I never pick that person to root for. Now, my thinking is if she can learn through others and gain some intelligence while stuck in the house, I should give her my well-wishes to do better.

The massive eye candy for me is a Nigerian muscle hunk, Chuk, who really likes to show off his killer body whenever given the chance. There's a possibility he may be gay or bi, but I'm sure we'll soon learn when he gets hit on how he reacts. There's YouTube videos of him from nearly 10 years ago, and his physique was amazing compared to most other guys his age at that time. 

Fantastic first episode, bringing in the horribly irritating Rachel separate from the other contestants, letting everyone in the house know she'd be competing for a 4th time. Then, taking the group outside for a competition, suddenly having a dinosaur costume character chase her into a volcano and "kill" her, telling the rest of the contestants that she would not be returning.

Looks like Dee is already well on her way to winning this and adding Big Brother to her Survivor win. That lady knows how to work people.

I'm watching but not particularly captivated by any of the dudes, alas. 
Usually there's at least one guy I immediately start swooning for. But this season not so much...

Where's my Victor/BB24, Cody/BB16, Tucker/BB26, Jessie/BB10 or my beloved Mark/BB19?!?! (But at least I can still enjoy Mark on Insta/TikTok & OF.)

Uh oh, it seems that after becoming a "Have Not" for the week, Dee was upstairs in the HOH room and helped herself to a handful of candy. Since she was handpicked by CBS to move from Survivor to the Big Brother house, will there be a consequence for this rule break or will they let her get away with it? It was captured on the live feeds and videos have already been posted online by viewers.

In previous seasons, houseguests who knowingly broke the Have-Not rules have often received penalty votes to go on the block, been forced to remain a Have-Not for an additional week, lost privileges, or been publicly reprimanded by production over the house speakers.

The exact punishment has varied from season to season, and producers have occasionally exercised discretion depending on the circumstances.

Many fans are now arguing that the show needs to enforce the rules consistently if the Have-Not twist is going to remain part of the game.

Why is this show so popular? Most of the people are immature, obnoxious and unattractive. Maybe I could overlook the lack of maturity but the majority of these contestants are not even good looking.

Usually there is a hot guy or two who walks around without a shirt.  This year, not so much.  Rome was good looking in that frat boy kind of way but he is out after two weeks.  Yes, the people are the kind of people who hope to become a "star" on a reality show and who have an entire summer to be on TV and not making a living otherwise.

I think Rome was the only attractive contestant.

Is that really appealing now to the general public? To watch unattractive people? I’ve not watched this show often but didn’t it used to feature mostly good looking men and women?

I've never watched it, in its Australian version or any other. But I suspect that there's an element of people being drawn to the strangest of things. Maybe they find it appealing. Maybe to measure themselves against what they see, and decide that they are far better than what is portrayed. Psychological analysis of things on the television, or of the people watching them, is potentially both interesting and pointless.
