I was in Vancouver at the beginning of June. Almost every hotel was between $400 and $500 per night including the one that was $150 a night for me at the beginning of April. I get the impression this is making a bigger impression on Vancouver in terms of crowds. It's hardly noticeable in Toronto.

When I was up in BC a few weeks ago, I stayed in White Rock instead for $129.00 USD. No one else at the Blaine crossing heading into Canada and just one car ahead of me returning to the US the next morning.
